If Season 6 Gabrielle ever had to fight Callisto (back in her evil days) do you think there would be a possibility that she could beat her? Why or why not?

No, because Callisto was a goddess. Gabrielle couldn't even defeat Varia.

Their skills would be closer to even, but I still think Callisto would win. She enjoys causing pain, and she *never* gives up. ~Beka~ |

I think Gabrielle would be able to beat her, given the right motivation. And Gabrielle only lost to Varia because she wasn't going full-out to win.

Season 6 Gabrielle would've taken Calli like Sherman marching through Georgia.
Gabrielle "was" the Warrior Princess by the end of Season 6. We saw that Calli couldn't beat even Season 1 Xena. The only reason Varia was able to "win" was because Gabrielle kept trying to reach her. The Gabinator wouldn't have any such distraction when dealing with Callisto. Put this one in the "W" column for the Battlin' Bard.   Now Gabrielle vs. "Crusader" Najara might be a different story. Hmm....
I think Callisto was almost Xena's equal in Season 1 and 2. And sorry, but I don't think Season 6 Gabrielle is the equal of Season 1 Xena. She's very good, yes, but there were certain moves that both Xena and Callisto had at their disposal that Gabbers did not. Case in point: Gabby can't jump or do flips. And I still don't quite buy her suddenly throwing and catching the chakram in FIN unless she'd been practicing. Whereas Callisto knows how to use the chakram, remember? I do agree that her defeat at Varia's hands had a lot to do with the fact that she wasn't going full-out to win and was trying to reach Varia. But why are we assuming that in fighting Callisto, Season 6 Gabrielle would not have been held back by compassion, by her "warrior issues," etc.? I agree with LK. Callisto and Xena were nearly equals with fighting skills, sword play and flips. Gabrielle excelled in the sais yes but I don't see her beating Callisto. Callisto was full of hate and showed remorse to no one. Had Gabrielle S6 and mortal Calli faced off, I think Gab wouldn't hold back on the fighting however if it got to the kill, I can't say she would make it.
As we know, Callisto had no problems killing unarmed people so Gabby she wouldn't show mercy to. Callisto would win hands down, I just find Gabrielle's major jump to "warrior princess" title and "owner of the chakram" in FIN sort of a stretch. Although it was a great scene and possibly the only redeming thing of the episode, catching the chakram once does not make her the new warrior princess nor does it give her an edge over Xena's mortal adversary Callisto.  |

I have to agree with LK. S6 Gabby still wasnt as advanced a warrior as Callisto.
I also dont believe they would ever have a main villain get beaten by Gabby simply because it would make that character appear less menacing to Xena afterwards. Consider how Gab couldnt take Draco in S 5. Even with all her maturity as a warrior, she still had to flee from him and needed Xena's help. ~~~~~~~~~ I too once thought I was worth something... |

Hm, well I guess we're not talking about "would TPTB have allowed S6 Gabrielle to beat mortal Callisto" but about whether she could have beaten her theoretically.
I mean, it's not like Season 6 Gabrielle could have fought mortal Callisto anyway, considering that the two did not actually share the same point on the space/time continuum.  (Unless of course S6 Gabrielle were to travel back in time...)
