Yep, Eniariom, Seattle Slew! LOL Are you familiar with Thoroughbred bloodlines?

Magic has some pretty well known ancesters, too. On her sire's side, she is related to Nasrullah, who was a son of Nearco. Her sire was a great-grandson on his sire's side and a great-great-grandson on his dam's side to Nasrullah.

On her dam's side Magic goes back to Barbizon, to Polynesian on the dam's sire. Then on her dam's female line, Magic goes back to Roundtable to Princequillo and her great-dam's sire also goes back to War Admiral to Man o' War.

Hope you could follow all that. It is much easier to understand when you actually look at a chart.

So Junior has all that plus the breeding of Slew Mood going for him. Of course Slew Mood's sire was Seattle Slew. But the dam was pretty good, too. She was a grade one champion in Canada.

Now, here is the funny part. LOL He loves to run, just like his momma. I am of the opinion that he was faster than his momma when she was racing. She hated to have any horse in front of her! But.......Junior hated to be crowded by the other horses and hated the jockey trying to put him near the rail. Junior loved running on the track for morning exercise and training, but did not enjoy racing, at all!

Just goes to prove that it takes more than blood and pedigree to make a good racehorse. LOL He actually has better bloodlines than his momma, but she was the better racer because she had the heart and the burning need to be in front.

But that was all when they were younger. She is now 19 and he is 10. They are both home, in good health, and living the relaxed life.
