Well, I thought it'd be nice to post this. I've had it on my computer for a long, long time. I didn't see it posted here already so I thought I'd include it.
This is the cut scene between Xena and Ares in Motherhood from the original script. It's different than the cut scene that was shown on the season 5 DVD.
"Remember a while back, I told you that you were bad for me? I'm not sure if that's true anymore. But I have to warn you. I'll be bad for you, Ares, God of War. I know you'd like to get rid of all those mortal feelings that interfere with your job. And I'll do whatever I can to make you hold on to them. I know it hurts, Ares. But that's the only way I can be with you."

Athena:But why?
Ares: (shrugs, nods toward Xena) I gotta thing for her.
Athena takes a step back, she drops her sword and falls to her knees. She wavers for a moment before she pitches herself forward, dead. Xena rushes over to Eve and Gab. They're coming to. She throws herself on them, covering them with kisses. She looks up at Ares who's gotten up.
Xena:Thank you
Ares nods as he watches the woman he loves being so happy. Cut to:
Ext.Field-Day
Xena and Ares stand examining each other.
Ares:So I'm mortal. That's not the end of the world. I may expereince things I never could as god of war.
Xena: Like what?
Ares: Like you
Xena smiles.
Xena:You never give up, do you?
Ares: You mean after what I did for Gabrielle and Eve, my standing hasn't changed one---
He's interrrupted by Xena's tongue in his mouth. They kiss for a long moment. Then she surfaces.
Ares: So I'm finally getting to you
Xena:You always got to me. But you were bad for me. And you still are.
She begins to walk away
Ares:What does this mean? Are you saying we can never be together?
Xena: Never's a long time. I'll see you around Ares. Try to be a better human than you were a god.
Ares watches her walk away.
Ares: Good Bye, Xena.
He stands there for a moment as if he expects to diappear. The he realizes he just has to walk, which he does.
The rest is a Xena and Eve and Gabby scene.
