I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, sorry if it has! Do you think that Xena and Ares could have gotten together and created a long-lasting
relationship when Ares was a god? There are no shippers that wouldn't love to see these two together in a relationship, but would it have worked out if
Ares couldn't grow up together with Xena? Don't kick me out of the shippish forum for saying that 
but don't you think there are actual problems,
difficulties that should be overcome? For example, could Ares stuck to 40 (let's say) and Xena continue to grow up and reach 60? (!) Wasn't the nature
of their jobs that, that they would have to face each other sooner or later in a war? Ares wouldn't have to fight in the battlefield of course but their
goals in life wouldn't be the same and the ways they would choose in order to achieve these goals would certainly be different.
On the other hand, Xena's pairing with mortal Ares wouldn't be faced with so many problems, imo. What do you think? I would prefer to see immortal Ares & Xena together but without them having to cope with all the problems I mentioned. I like the dynamic that their relationship has when Ares is a god, I like seeing him as the ultimate warrior, energetic and in a way more "powerful" than Xena . I love the fact that Xena always stands up to a god and not to a normal person, I like her outsmarting a god and not simply another warlord. (Well, Kevin could never be "simply another warlord, but... :P)
Let's say that Ares is immortal and Xena a mortal. What are the odds of them having a "happy ending"? And how would you prefer to see them together?
