The "Members online" at the top of a forum (including XOC) is members of Yuku who are online. Anyone can browse the forums even if they are not members (unless the board is set to a membership only for viewing as well as posting). The Members Online doesn't have anything to do with membership into the community that you're visiting.

And I love yuku.

I suppose if you wanted a specific avatar/signature etc for each type of forum you visit you could just create more than one yuku identity. That would probably get too complicated though.

Hmm, I don't think it's against yuku rules to have more than one handle/profile. I don't remember reading that. It's against XOC rules to join under more than one handle, but a person can have more than one yuku handle in general. After all, I've known people who have created new handles before because they wanted something new so then they do still have at least one other out there under their email or whatever.

It does make sense, I think, especially if you spend a lot of time on multiple forums that are completely and totally different, and you don't want your fandoms (or whatever other interest/hobby) crossing over into each other.

You can still have that. I don't know how the profiles work on yuku as I've never tried them. But you can always sign up with Yuku to create a new account and have a separate login that is different from your first account that you already own. (unless it blocks you from doing this when using the same email but somehow, I don't think it does). And then use one account for one forum, another account for another etc. That's different than "profiles" (not really sure how the profiles work exactly since I've never done that before) but that's what I think could be done and makes sense.

I think the profiles option allows for people who want to have different usernames at different places but have one login for all of them. Doesn't mean you couldn't create separate accounts that are completely independent though, I would think. I would think it would be the same as if you signed up several different email address (all for different purposes or intents) on a place like yahoo and people can have more than one yahoo email.

Then you could use another email, I suppose. Not that I want to. I like just having one account. But it is interesting to think about.

dbzxenaman, how is it set up for you? Are they all different handles on one account with one password login etc?
