Would she really have let the Amazons burn her body or decided to take Xena to Amphipolous? Would Gabrielle have told Solan? Would she return home or continue to help people? Do you think Gabby would have 'developed' enough to become more than a sidekick? Do you think she would have stayed with the Amazons? What would Gabby do? (Result) 1. Stayed with the Amazons. 2. Continued to help and do good. 3. Gone home. 4. Other?

She seemed pretty determined to do that, before Autolycus told her that Xena was actually alive, inside his body. I don't think she would have told Solan about his mother's death, or at least that wouldn't happen soon. She would probably be devastated and would have to try hard to get over the grief. She certainly wouldn't have dealt with Xena's death as good, as cool as she did in FIN. I'm not sure about what Gabrielle would do next, but I assume she would have stayed with the Amazons. At this part of the show she needed to be part of a tribe, part of a team, she would want to feel secure after Xena's death and have someone next to her, help her confront the problem. I don't think she would have returned home to stay with her parents. Also, although imo Gabrielle had developed as a character through the first and the second season, this development wasn't enought to make her come across as a warrior, as the killing machine she was in s5 and s6. Pkus: I never really saw Gabrielle as a sidekick, not even in the early seasons. That was perhaps because in the early seasons I regarded Gabrielle's eloquence as her main weapon, whereas Xena was clearly the warrior. I don't think it was in Gabrielles nature to stay as the Amazon Queen. I also think that Gabrielle still didn't believe in herself that much as a person/warrior or person who fights for good. Alternativley, I think if she stayed with the Amazons then I think she would have spilled to Solan and maybe even have taken Solan 'under her wing'. I just don't think she was as connected with them at that time to be able to stay with them. It didn't really seem like she was 'destined' to do. She just seemed like she wasn't the type of person to stay in one place and not helping with the Greater Good. Without Xena, I don't know how she would have managed to confront Velasca alone. After a while maybe Gabrielle goes back home.

She was ready to take on that responsibility, because it was the right thing for the rightful heir to do. Probably return home to see her parents and Lilah after a season or two, and tell them everything that'd happened. But then return. I doubt she'd tell Solan anything. But she might try harder to keep Caliepus closer, and further build peace between their two peoples. I think it'd take some time, and talking with Caliepus, if she ever thought Solan should know about Xena. After 5 or more years, I couldn't say. Maybe decide it was time to pass on her right of caste and go back to a simple life, maybe home, maybe travel, maybe just see what happens. As far as Xena's remains, yes I think she would have taken them to Cyrene and stayed with her to see her bury yet another of her children.

I think that while Xena was alive, Gabrielle didn't have the need to stay with the Aamzons for long. But with Xena gone, I do think that was where she would have wanted to be. She wasn't going back to Potadiea, and she wasn't ready yet at this point to take over as Xena's replacement. In the story itself (AUF DER SUCHE NACH DEM LEBEN/THE QUEST) she decides to bring Xena's ashes home and then come back to be the Amazon's queen. Of course she may have estimated it as being her duty (to avoid Velasca).n On the other hand: in SEELENVERWANDTE/KINDRED SPIRITS she is thinking over her rule and wonders: "Who told me I could be a good queen?" So I think sooner or later she would have doubted this place was the right one for her. That's why I wrote Gabrielle would take over the government of "Amazonia", but leave them a few years later.

I could see her staying with perhaps for a couple of months while she figures out who she is and what she wants to do - most likely training to be a warrior for the time being (which is the main defining skill of an amazon per the show). I think she would then leave to travel, see the world, and act for the greater good, firstly returning xena's ashes next to her brothers tomb. I could definitely see her picking up skills and modelling her developement after xena. I think she'd visit amphibolis, potadia, and the amazons (to presid as queen) but i think she'd get restless not being out there experiencing things and contributing to the greater good pretty quickly. I could definitely see her developing her own (little maybe?) 'Evil Gabrielle' persona as she learns more of the world and has to rely on her own judgements on how to hadle situtations. I could see Ares taking an interest (ok ok so i'm in the unconventional bitship). I could see Gabrielle brining about real changes in him (mostly for the better). I never saw much depth to the A/X ayway except lust and Ares supposedly loving xena. Minus any major G/A coupling i think gabrielle as she got older would settle down with someone. Another warrior like herself. They'd probably continue in there journies for the greater good though. Have some kids. I think Gabrielle would tell Solan once she was older and wiser, that xena was his mother. I think he might even want to go travelling and learn from her, and she'd let him, and she'd probably become the mum he never had. Would make a great series. www.youtube.com/user/cheekybabe666

They just seem to be perfect when with each other and almost (dare I say?) lost on their own.

Since Ephiny travelled away from the Amazon village a few times, I can see the pair doing that. Although Velesca wouldn't be a god, so they'd deal with her easier. She'd go home, but I can see her and Ephiny travelling maybe. I was thinking Joxer, but Gabrielle and Ephiny had this bond, which was very strong.
