I'm an avid Xena and Hercules fan and a total mythology freak! I just wanted to share a project with you that I created/wrote/produced/acted in called O-Cast! O-Cast is a mockumentary-style web-series created by the twelve Olympian gods of Greek mythology to broadcast their new lives as 20-something New Yorkers living in one apartment. Comedy ensues as they combine forces to convince the mortals of their modern relevance in order to save themselves from extinction. His interviews just weren't shown in the trailer. If you want to see some more "teaser" footage including some of Ares and our fight sequences (because what's Greek mythology without a little action!), you can click here! We have a bit more promo photography on our flickr page and you can get a better look at our Ares there. We haven't finished the pics for each of the gods yet, but they should be done soon so keep checking back there. I'll post here when more go up so that everyone will know I'm so glad y'all are as excited about seeing it as we are about showing it to ya! Anyone in the NYC area, we're having a premiere on Thursday. Admission is free and it should be a lot of fun! For everyone else, we'll have the first episode on the web on Monday, October 26 2009. They are the perfect short break from your manic Monday workload!

We're having a lot of fun finally getting to release our content There is a release schedule on our blog at http://www.o-cast.com/blog so that you can check in for the next episodes or you can subscribe to our channel on youtube at http://www.youtube.com/ocastwebseries or join our fan page on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/ocastwebseries To answer your question: We, too, would like to make O-Cast a better representation of NYC, (however we posted public audition notices online and in audition publications and almost all of the actors who came in for auditions happened to be caucasian) We didn't really have the time or resources to continue auditioning (space rental, printing, etc.) and had to focus on simply getting the show made. As O-Cast continues, we will be holding other rounds of auditions for new characters, before we film in the spring.
