My friend turned 18 yesterday, and today she and a friend, who also turned 18 during this week, were having a party. They had rented a place to be, and decorated according to their theme and made games (the theme were kid party, basically - with fishing and a quiz round and 90's music - and generally funny music -and they had ballons and we ate hot dogs, cake, candy and drank soda). It was great and really funny, up till about two hoyrs in when some guests bagun to fiddle with the music (and thus almost never letting a song finish, and even more seldom letting it begin in the first place.) I was still having fun, chatting with friends and watching some boys dance silly and just goof off, but the birthday girl weren't as pleased. We were about 15 people or so, and she had intended for us to dance and be silly, but many seemed to be bored. Which was a shame.

So, I just feel sad for her, because her party was a bit destroyed. She's one of my best, and oldest, friends, and I really wished for her to have a great day. Oh well. In two years she'll turn 20, hopefully it'll be better then. Or I'll have to make sure of it myself

I think birthday's are just doomed to go wrong.. On my 18th birthday all my mates had this huge falling out, it was like a frickin' civil war for a while there.. 19th birthday, two of my friends decided my birthday was the day to break up.. 21st my bf sulked with me the whole day because I hugged one of my best mates (a guy) and he got jealous.

I've given up on having any kinda celebrations for them, they always end in fail.
