First and foremost, when I was reading the beginning of this thread it said "want to know the difference between the AOX and the XTW? Actually, yeah, I kind of do want to know the difference. Anyone available to tell me?

Secondly, when you join an army--in this case I am asking about XTW, just to be clear--does that make all other armies your enemy? Are there any armies that have alliances with one another?

Thirdly, for the XTW, what rank do you start at? How do you move up?

Fourthly (fourthly is a very stupid word, to be honest, and I don't think it should exist), can anyone tell me a few reasons why I should join the XTW?

EDIT: I read the info about the XTW that I found in the general ASG thread, but I would like to know what is outdated.. since it was posted over six months ago, and I know that armies sometimes go through overhauls.

1. The difference between AoX and XTW is essentially that we are less strict than AoX. But for an analysis of the AoX i recommend talking to Elfrieda. I know that the goal of AoX is generally world domination while XTW is more of an opportunity to have some fun and battle. Its about worshipping our Goddess Xena in many ways and in her many forms. AoX had left the board when the XTW was formed. We are allies and we both worship Xnea, but as i said we are a little more relaxed than AoX and our actions relate solely to this board while AoX has a broader agenda.

2. Not all armies ebcome your enemy. In regards to XTW our main Enemy is PLA. Since the AoC is aligned with the PLA that would also make them our enemy. No one is an enemy of the misfits, they are neutral. As i said above AoX is our ally. But enemy doesnt mean you cant hold relationsips or friendships. XTW believes in honour and respect and we hold a lot of respect for our enemy. It is more collaborative than in the past since we have found the battles and games run better that way. The Lone warriors fight alone, not necessarily an enemy more of a distraction for lack of a better word.

3. All warriors start at the rank of Ensign. When you post your application and have been accepted your formal acceptance will have two links to your first two missions. Completion of these missions will earn you a promotion to Lieutenant. Once you have reached that level there is a process of points allocation. In the information thread you will find a loose promotion criteria that explains what points are awarded for what activities. Once you reached a threshold of 20 points you are promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Again reached a threashold of 20 points and complete an additional task you will be promoted to Commander. From Commander to Captain to Vice Admiral those promotions are at the discretion of the Admirals. This will require a showing of leadership, initiative, creativity, willpower and devotion. It will also require a healthy showing of respect for your fellow members and your enemies.

4. No one can tell you which army to choose. And you should always choose an army that suits you and what you want to achieve and what you believe in. To sawy you one way or the other would be cheating. I dont mean to sound rude but XTW only wants those who choose to join because its what right for them. It should not be a popularity contest otherwise how can the Goddess ever be completely sure of your devotion. It is important that you decide based on what is within you whether or not you should join. If you feel you can better follow Gabrielle by all means join the PLA. We only want committed members.

Let me tell you this though. XTW is a fun loving army that takes its devotion to the Goddess seriously. What makes us who we are is the ability to lean on each other in times of sadness and share the good times with each other. We are a family lovingly referring to each other as sisters. We are a solid group of people who would do anything for their fellow members. We like to battle and at times make mistakes but we also like to learn. We know that like our Goddess we have faults but we always try to do right by each other and try and turn those faults into strengths. We are all about Xena. She is our Goddess and she inspires our every action. For me the above is why i love this army so much and try and do what is in its best interests at all times. I suggest taking a look at our recruitment videos there is a thread here in the ASG as well as in the Alexandria library. They contain reaons why my fellow sisters believe XTW is the best army in town


5. The current information is correct. XTW went through some changes about 6 months ago to streamline our rankings and developed the promotion criteria. Before that we were young and it was a learning process. We feel the current information displays who we are as an army. Plus we wanted to add the requirement of an application to ensure that only committed persons join our Goddess' ranks. It was about making us stronger from within and i think we have achieved that in many respects. Not to say we are perfect just we are who we want to be.
