I personally see them as tied to each other in a really amazing and not easy to explain way. I used to think that Xena and Gabby are just only friends! I had never thought of them as being lovers or something more than friends, but when I grew older, I could see some signs of implying something like more than friendship. I'm not into that however, so I have just decided to name them "soulmates". They were definitely close to each other as noone could ever be with someone else. And that was amazing. So "soulmates" is definitely the best word for me! ~Betty

Xena and Gabrielle are soulmates, and I believe they are lovers and that they are in love. But I also believe Xena is in love with Ares. For me, Xena can't exist without both Gabrielle AND Ares. I believe Gabrielle knows that Ares holds a special place in Xena's heart and I can't see Gabrielle as the type of person that would make Xena "choose". I also see a connection between Area and Gabrielle. sigh I'm a hopeless tritexter... Keeper by TaladarkieJJ What is it now? Four generations?

Love can mean and be so many things and no two people showed us that more then Xena and Gabrielle. Love shouldn't really be analysed or understood, some times it just is. Beyond all reason and obstacles, some times people are just meant to be together. The best loves don't need to make sense, they just are. When you love some one no matter how far apart you go, or where life takes you, you will find your way back to each other. I have always aspired and wished for a love like theirs, unbreakable by time or death. Forever. *With you in my arms I am finally found...*

However, for all of season 6 I can see them as lovers and I quite like to think they had a "full" partnership - both emotionally and sexually satisfying. Cheers.
