I bought it for me and then got way overexcited obviously and texted my friend and told her about it, and she didn't exactly share my excitement about it so I thought "to Hades with this" and bought her one as well. With my customer profile(I guess that's the same as user account), and sent both of them to my email because I'm the one paying for all of it, so I thought it'd be easier if I got it all sent to me so it'd be easier to keep track of.
Sure enough I wrote her name on hers and mine on mine.
And I got two order confirmations, one with her name and one with mine.
So far so good.
I recently received the tickets (which apparently I'm supposed to print out and bring with me, although it says all international tickets will be held at the door, anyone got an explanation to that?) and what do I see?
Ohyes. Both tickets are in her name.
Email Sharon, she forwards it to the Ticket department, they give me this "lovely" reply:
That's because you used your friend's email address and customer profile number to purchase the tickets. We can not change the name on the pdf file. In the future, please create your own customer profile and type your email address on the order form, so the ticket(s) can be under your name.
I especially love the bit where it says "We can not change the name on the pdf file"(the ticket). I also love the extensive amount of help I am getting from this reply.
Especially on how I know now whether or not this matter will be fixed, if I will need to buy a new ticket or not - just everything about it really is so helpful and nice.
Just to let you guys know: be sure to make new shiny customer profiles and use several email addresses if you are buying several tickets for your friends etc.
Also, if you didn't notice, portions of this post are soaked in sarcasm. I am highly pissed off right now, so much to the point that I can't do angry faces and lots of capslock and exclamation points, I revert to good old sarcasm.
Cheers.
Oh, and I emailed them back again. Let's hope they reply with something more positive, shall we?
