For all those car and shower singers... |
Lead | |
|
I love to sing along with the radio while I'm driving. I would probably sing in the shower too but I don't really listen to the radio in there as much
as I used to. Monday I was driving home and singing when I realized something rather interesting. I don't just sing, I try to sound like the artist that is
singing. Now this isn't true if its a guy. I don't try my best impersonation of Justin Timberlake or the leader of Three Days Grace. But if its
Rhianna, Carrie Underwood, or even Amy Lee singing I'll try to hit all the high notes and blend my voice with their's. I've also noticed that if a
singer has an accent (say an accent from the American South, for instance), no matter their gender, I'll sing with their accent too. Does anyone else do
this?
How do you sing along? (Result) |

I just sing. I love singing big notes though. And strong songs, like the new U2 album has a few, you have no choice but to sing outloud. I love singing in
traffic because people watch you and think your crazy. No i just like music.
Never try to be the singer though. Unless its singstar then you kinda have no choice

I sing to the radio in the car. I don't necessarily try to sound like the artist, but I notice that if country is on... I sing with the accent lol

Never sing in the shower and only very occasionally will sing along in the car. The artists are much better singers than I am

I usually hum a lot instead of sing. Though.... I do sing sometimes when I'm at home listening to a great song. When no one is around.
I rarely sing in the shower or the car.

This is me most of the time, although if the singer has a really strong accent (i.e. Tarja Turunen), a bit of it will slip into my voice sometimes.

I couldn't carry a note if my life depended on it. If I sing to you, that means I reallly don't like you. Heheheh. Actually I enjoy singing along, but
only if I'm alone.

I sing without trying to sound like who I am singing along with
If I like the song I'll sing to it. Oh and I rarely sing in the shower anymore...I actually talk to myself. *blush*

I sing along in the car and try to sound like the singer, both genders. It's mostly just trying to match my voice to theirs and blend in type of thing.

I said other i usually just try to be in tune with the song sometimes I even go up or down an ovtave if its too high or low. I am kind of a music dork I was in
chorus for years, guess it shows.

First option. I don't really sing as much as I belt. Seldom try to imitate the voices, but usually play more with the emotions of the song and at times try
to imitate those. So went with the first option.

I went with the first option too. I don't sing in the shower, I DO sing in the car (when I have music in the car which I don't right now, since some
JERK stole my stereo!)
But I usually only sing when alone. Or around my 3 year old nephew. He's easy to impress, as long as I know all the words to "Go Diego go or Wonderpets" (sadly, I do)

I try to sound like the artists that are the same gender as me, including any accent they may have.
BUT this isnt all the time, just sometimes. Othertimes I just sing. But I listen to alot of rap and sometimes I do the manly voice thing, especially when its Dr Dre LOLLL

I always sing in the shower. It started out as a small thing but then I kept on doing it so eventually my parents installed a couple of speakers in the
bathroom that were connected to the radio to make things more fun for me.

I sing my arse off to absolutely everything. When I'm driving, when I'm in the shower, when I'm in lectures....
I sing along to instrumentals, to classical music, to guitar solos, to T.V show themes, to radio jingles.... I harmonise with everything aswell. Because I am that cool. As for the question, I don't try to sound like the singer. Unless it's in a foreign lanuguage (Spanish, French, Italian, German, Latin, Japanese...), then I tend to be imitating them, as I don't understand the words or how they should sound, but otherwise I think I just sound like myself.

I sing along and pray I don't break the windshield... Actually if you have seen scary movie two , when Sydney is driving to the mansion and she is singing
along with the radio, and the artist tells her to shut the F up... Yeah my radio would so do that to me
