She is very keen though, which is a good sign. Now, what I am struggling with, is what episodes to show her. This takes a lot of planning. We are talking about a potential Xenite here, people. That's a whole lotta responsibility for Ripples. She is a massive Karl Urban fan, so I am looking to incorporate that (with the possible exception of Lifeblood haha). Should I show her all the Karl Urban episodes? Should I show her my favourite episodes? Should I show her key episodes? Fortunately, a lot of episodes fall into each of these catergories, such as Ides Of March and so on Do I show her them in order? Would it be too confusing to show them out of order? My favourite episodes (i.e episodes on my iPod) are as follows: Sins of The Past Is There A Doctor In The House? Blind Faith A Neccessary Evil Return Of Callisto The Price A Day In The Life The Furies Been There, Done That One Against An Army Maternal Instincts When In Rome... Crusader The Way Endgame Ides Of March Amphipolis Under Seige Looking Death In The Eye Livia Motherhood Coming Home Dangerous Prey Path Of Vengeance The Ring The Abyss Now, there are obvious episodes that I would include, seeing that she is a KU fan - Altared States, A Comedy of Eros, Destiny, When Fates Collide, A Good Day etc. And obvious episodes such as Callisto, The Bitter Suite, Fins Femmes and Gems that should never be left out. But I need to narrow my list down a bit. Or at least sort it out. I want to show off everything X:WP has to offer. And I figure, the best place for a strategy would be XOC. Obviously. So, hopefully, you can help me out, and devise a master plan to turn my friend into a Xenite. I think you realise what kind of opportunity we have here. "I hate that..."

They kinda tell the story of the series without needing the linear story in my opinion Gets you hooked quick and easy A Greater Good got me interested when it was on one morning then I watched Is There a Doctor a couple days Later and the rest is history. SOTP Altered States Callisto Return of Callisto Destiny (maybe The Quest/Necessary Evil as well to explain how Xena comes back) A Day in the Life The Price A Comedy of Eros The Furies BTDT OAAA When In Rome Fins, Femmes and Gems (maybe? my list is pretty heavy on the drama without it. Or switch it with In Sickness and In Hell. depending on the type of comedy you'd prefer.) A Good Day Endgame (maybe The Way before this one - not my fave ep, but does explain how Gab goes from fighting in AGD to pacifism in Endgame. or just give the cliff notes version.) The Ides of March (maybe Fallen Angel next to explain how they come back) Then onto whichever S5 and 6 episodes you think are best, with of course When Fates Collide at some point for KU goodness. I didn't include The Bitter Suite, but that's mostly because it might be confusing without the key Rift episodes (Deliverer, GH, The Debts) to explain what all led them to the point of hating each other. And pretty much the same thing for not adding the Sacrifice eps or A Family Affair - without the Rift episodes, they'd make no sense. If you want/think your friend would like them, I'd say watch all of the Rift and taking care of Hope eps and not worry about S5 or 6, except for WFC. Commander Posts: 296 (02/23/09 6:22 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Well I just got my best mate into watching Xena and she wanted to watch it from the start so she knew what was going on so I started with Sins of the past and went in order coz she told me thats what she wanted and she then kept telling me to put another ep on so we ended up watching 13 eps that day/night lol then she took the season off me and when ever she comes round she wants to watch it (which I love lol) and we seem to always watch at 13 eps at a time so we are now on season 5 and the next ep we are to watch is Animal Attraction but she loves the eps with Joxer in the best coz hes funny and then she starts to sing his song lol Banners made by placebowithmeds, Scroll made by Shenanigen

I picked her up at 10:00am and it's now 00:36am We watched 12 episodes, in all, with some breaks for food. We are not a camel. I decided to show her key episodes in order, and show scenes I like from other episodes, and also to keep her up to speed with the plots. The episodes we watched were: Sins Of The Past Hooves and Harlots Altared States Clips of A Royal Couple of Thieves and The Reckoning The Greater Good Callisto Revival Scene from Is There A Doctor In The House? Return Of Callisto Destiny Clips of The Quest and A Neccessary Evil A Day In The Life Clips of Blind Faith and The Lost Mariner (because we watched Candyman togethor once) The Price A Comedy Of Eros The Furies Been There, Done That Blooper Reel We decided to stop before The Deliverer etc. because then the episodes become arcs, and all connect to each other, and it was too late to get into that She seemed to really enjoy it. She thought the young Karl Urban was hilarious, as was his Cupid. She was intrigued by Caesar. She said the costumes on the extras playing Draco's army looked like 'The Borrowers'. I laughed. She liked the dramas more than the episodes she said. She loved Callisto, she thought she was crazy. She agreed when I said she was Psycho Barbie haha. She also liked Ares, and agreed his beard in The Reckoning was ludicrous in the extreme. She liked the action, to my delight. She laughed heartily at all the right bits. She thought M'lila was 'cool'. I think she liked pretty much everything I was hoping she would like. She liked the latter of season 2 and season 3 best, citing the fact that Lucy's acting was much better as a reason. And the pace was a bit better, it never really got boring. So, all in all, I think I am well on my way to creating a future Xenite! Hurrah! We plan to have another one soon, where we will have a Series 3 Extravaganza, and get through as much of the rest as we can "I hate that..."
