Yeah but to be fair wasn't the Obama thread locked, was it ever unlocked or concluded?
I'm behind on current xoc events I only know what I've heard.

Wow. I had no idea how turkeys were killed....kinda wish I still didn't know.
As for the Governor part of it, what a weird place for an interview and not so sure saying it was 'fun' was a good idea. Though I am kind of curious if that seeming to be weird is a regional thing and Alaskans will be thinking that (much of) the lower 48 are weird for being bothered by it. Being from a rural area, I've certainly run into things that we live with/do that city folk find extremely weird and/or morbid, especially adding in the 'cowboy' stuff I and my family are involved with. With that said....I still find an interview at a turkey farm, and slaughtering turkeys being fun as, well, weird. LOL |

OK, I've had it - the election's been over for 2 weeks, and I for one am sick of the bickering, nastiness and general stupidity that's been such a
cardinal feature of this autumn. For all of those, both left and right who still feel obligated to take cheap shots at each other's candidates and
opinions, there are a wealth of politically-oriented websites and fora of all persuasions available - if you must display your partisan colors on this site,
I'd remind you that there's an pre-election thread that can always be resurrected and used for political arguments. I think that this particular
thread is a whole lot of air about nothing - where do people think that their Thanksgiving and Christmas turkeys come from? Who cares what Sarah Palin does or
doesn't do at this stage? As for the anti-Obama and Biden remarks, 1) they were completely uncalled for, 2) save it for Powerline or RedState - you know,
people who might actually give a damn about them.

Xenasgrrl wrote:(shrug) As I said, people are going to see what they want and react the way they want. I just thought it was a curious place to do an interview. As far as what happens to this thread? Lock it, delete it, whatever. I really could care less, one way or another. Do what you want. |

actually cobalt I was referring to Piper, not you.
And CF, there is a current U.S. Election thread which I posted to twink, above. All political fodder should be posted there.

CasualFan wrote:My personal take? All politicans go whatever way the winds blow, so long as it gets them into the office. And with certain people on either side, it's "You're either for us or against us." Blah. I don't belong to any party. I just found this to be an amusing setting for an interview. I can't control how people react. And if some folks choose to act like total arses, that's on them. I could care less. |

Saul -- I understand that you didn't mean for this post to be political. However, under the circumstances, there is no way it would not be seen as
taking a shot at Sarah Palin. I'm not justifying the tit-for-tat, but I think we need a total cease-and-desist on both sides for the time being.
