Yeah, I know. People who had to rely on the city or state to evacuate them had to ride buses or whatever was provided. Sometimes they were allowed to bring them, sometimes not. But I was talking primarily about people who did have a choice and got into their cars and trucks and just left poor Fido locked in the house or the attic. Or chained in the backyard or on the porch, or just left them to run loose (which may have been kinder than chaining them up) to fend for themselves. I was talking about people who made a choice.

And while we're on this subject...Hey, you officials! Let folks take all of their families with 'em. Animals are people too! They depend on us and it's not fair to leave them behind.
