Attention new members!
At the end of the year, we'll have a raffle for newbies who joined XOC between July 1 and December 31, 2008, in which seven new members will be awarded prizes (Xena-related merchandise). Those who joined earlier than that but made their first post after July 1 are also eligible. To qualify, you must achieve board rank of at least First Citizen (100 posts) by January 1, 2009. Those joining on or after November 15 can qualify at the rank of Villager (50 posts), and those joining on or after December 20, at the rank of Mortal.
You will be also included in an extra "frequent poster" drawing (before and in addition to the general one) if you:
* joined in July or August and reached the level of Commander (600 posts) by January 1;
*joined in September or October and reached the level of Warrior (400 posts) by January 1;
* joined in November and reached the level of Warrior-in-Training (200 posts) by January 1;
* joined in December and reached the level of First Citizen (100 posts) by January 1.
You will be included in a third "champion poster" drawing if you:
* joined in July or August and reached the level of One-Star General (1000 posts) by January 1;
* joined in September or October and reached the level of Commander (600 posts) by January 1;
* joined in November and reached the level of Warrior (400 posts) by January 1;
* joined in December and reached the level of Warrior-in-Training (200 posts) by January 1.
If you joined on or after December 15, you will be included in the first raffle of 2009 if you have reached Commander level by July 1, 2009, and in the "frequent poster" round if you have reached One-Star General level by July 1, 2009.
Members who made their first post on XOC between June 15 and July 1 will be included in the general raffle (even if they were in the first raffle of 2008) if they reach Commander level by January 1, 2009, and in the "frequent poster" round if they have reached One-Star General level by January 1, 2009.
Here's how the raffle will work:
1. The "champion poster" drawing will be held first. One winner will be randomly selected (the handles will be written on the back of cards and the card drawn from a box). Those who did not win will then be entered again into the "frequent poster" drawing.
2. The "frequent poster" drawing will be held next. Again, one winner will be selected. The "champion posters" and "frequent posters" who did not win will then be entered again into the general raffle.
2. The "general raffle" will be held last, with the "champion posters" and "frequent posters" participating again along with everyone else who qualifies. Five winners will be randomly selected.

Note: While we obviously want to encourage our posters to be active, this is not an invitation to spam the board. If we notice anyone making large numbers of quick and meaningless posts with the obvious intent of padding their post count, they will be admonished by the mods and may be disqualified from the extra rounds of the raffle.
