Both shows were good in there own way, however personally and I know some will probaly be mad, Buffy was better written in terms of overall season arcs, well planned with stories (in advance by producers) and it had very few continuity issues. Xena was always good with developing characters, and its adventure of the week stories.

After about the third season actually was when I thought it went to crap, or bascially when they switched networks. I loved Angel, Faith and when they were gone, it wasn't the same. I pick Xena though would have if it was up against any other show. I enjoyed just about every episode, watching the character's interact and honestly, I like Lucy Lawless sooo much more than SMG.

My answer to that is "Buffy". If the question was "Which show do you enjoy/like/love the most", then my answer would have been Xena. Cheers.

Buffy, we did follow it until the very end. Some eps were exciting but the Buffy show didn`t give me the thrill Xena did. The natural acting of Buffy was in my opinion not natural enough. And I could feel that there was little space for personal involvement. On the Xena there was that natural thing of the main characters (Lucy and Renee) which I never could find in Buffy. A nice thing was the reference to Xena in a Buffy show. A nice show but nothing special to me.

I would have to say that as of right now, I read and watch Xena more. But 4 years ago, I liked Buffy more. Each TV show occurred during different phases in my life so I couldn't necessary say I like one better then the other.

Reasons for this are: I can honestly say I like every season of Xena, there are only a few odd eps I dont really like. However on Buffy, Theres a lot I didnt like. Pretty much everything after she died and they brought her back, and also when Tara died I almost had no reason to live myself! It just became intensely dark, and also WAY too much Sex! Xena was sometimes bad for this, but it would only go for an episode at a time, whereas with Buffy S6, the entire season was just morbid a lot of the time. Plus I didnt like the series end on a whole with that show. At least on Xena you can give them to kudos for doing what they did, even if you didnt agree with it. With Buffy, the entire 6th season was very unforgiving to a lot of characters and storylines of the previous 5 years. Last Edited By: Hippy Amazon 08/08/08 1:41 PM. Edited 1 times.

I'm surprised some here like Buffy over Xena, whoever those are. I always love Buffy and Xena equally.
