I feel really strongly about this subject. And I have done for as long as I can remember. And I was just wondering what your views on this are?
Let me have a little rant about it...
Skinny celebrities. Air brushed magazine covers. Models dropping dead at fashion shows.
Sadly these have all become very common things. And nothing really suprises anyone now. In fact, a lot of people buy into it.
Well I bloody well don't!!
Everywhere you turn now your insecurities are being exploited! Your told to wear more make-up, loose weight, wear what others deem "fashionable", the list is endless. And I'm sick and tired of being treated like a moron.
I know only too well, that when I look at a celebrity trying to sell me make-up or something, they have been air brushed and photo shopped soooooo much; that there is no way I could EVER look like that. And I wouldn't want to either.
What wrong with being an individual?!
Why should we all want Jessica Albas body, or Paris Hiltons style or whatever?!
Can you imagine what a boring world it would be if every person walking down the street looked the same? Looked "perfect"?
I was inspired by a beautiful model called Crystal Renn, after I heard her story. Which is exactly the same as mine.
I was first a model when I was 6 years old. Then I had a long break and began again about 2 years ago.
When I first got back into the industry, I was very vunerable. So when one stupid-un proffessional- ignorant- photographer...
(exuse my anger hehe)...told me to become a size 0. I stupidly almost made myself very ill. I got better very quickly, and it made me so angry to think of how many other girls, or even boys, may me suffering because of nonsense like this. So I told him to get stuffed.
I am now my natural size 12 again, and my career is much better than when I was thinner. So I've made it my mission in life to save as many vunerable people as I can from this before it kills them!
And I am sickened that "thinspiration" is allowed on the internet, and indeed, on youtube!
For those of you who dont know. It is pictures of anorexic people to inspire others to starve themselves. And they have various slogans. Some of which are:
"Perfection comes in size"
"I'm cold, I'm Hungry, But at least I'm thin!"
How is this allowed?! Promotion of a deadly illness?!! Its totally beyond me.
Anyway I have ranted enough. Please let me know your thoughts on this.

However, it is good to live a healthy life; not to the extremes in which some celebs take.

...I was reading an article about how Tyra Banks is working
hard to help young ladies who aspire to model to fight against the drama that industry takes them through with regard to body image and stuff. Thought that was
very cool.

Im ill
Hug me!
