It was a major deal for TV to show that at the time, was a first in many ways and yes - the glancing makes it impossible to deny the purpose (as well as the position Auto finds himself in...). However, my favorite is The Mendhi. Although they don't show that exact image in the episode, I just love how relaxed it looks. Xena being so at ease with what Gabby's doing, the whole thing about warriors never turning their back on anyone - even people they trust - and yet here it looks as if she's sleeping. Xena lets down her guard knowing Gabby's got her back (hehe, in more ways than one). That, I believe, is monumental. As for which fin-pic is the best... There is no way I would do that as a way of...well anything...with a friend. And both Xena and Gabrielle during that scene look at each other's lips at some point lol. Longing!! As for Nutty's question - whilst I love that the first one possibly has Xena kissing back...the third one for me makes it look like it's more than just a simple water transfer - why would Gabrielle nudge her bottom lip against Xena's top one?
