How many people here are fans of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys as well as Xena,
Warrior Princess? How does your "fanship" of the two shows stack up, and why?
What do you think are the strongest points of H:TLJ and X:WP, compared to each other? Are you a fan of Hercules as well as Xena? (Result)

I watched Hercules before I watched Xena, I watched it off an on for a year or two before Xena, and while Xena was on if I was home in time or remembered, but
I never got into it as much as Xena.

I'm a fan of HTLJ and have all the DVDs, but I like XWP better; I still like HTLJ a lot, though.

Fourth option for me. I watched some Herc when it was airing, but was never a huge fan. Since I rediscovered Xena, I've watched a few Herc eps online
(mainly the crossovers), but I haven't bought the DVDs and don't plan to.

I'm a H:TLJ fan (I own all of the DVDs), but I usually go with X:WP's deeper characterizations and darker tone. Still, if it was a choice between
watching the X:WP India Arc or the H:TLJ Dahak/Eire/Norse Arc, I'd probably opt for the latter. Herc has its
charms, even if the title character is fundamentally less interesting than Xena's - for one, a lot of the more
memorable supporting characters sprang from the senior series (Auto, Sal, 'Dite, etc.).

I've watched probably five or six episodes of Hercules, but I don't think I'd ever buy it on DVD. It has similar elements, but in comparison the
characters just don't connect with me... and that's the most important thing about XWP.

I've seen a few episodes online, but I definetly don't like it as much as X:WP. The crossover episodes are really good though!

I have casually watched some H:TLJ but I'm not really into it. It wouldn't be something I'd collect the DVDs for, or scour the TV guide to see when
it's on but I have watched and liked some episodes.

Although I enjoy watching Hercules, I love watching Xena more. The immediate connection that I got from watching Xena just didn't or has yet to happen to
me with Hercules. I do like the cross over episode.
