So here's my question. Which category or categories of fan do you belong to? Pick all that apply to you, and rate how strongly you identify with that category on a scale of 1-10. I.e., if "fantasy geek" describes you very well, it's a 10; if it describes you only a little, a 1. Also, if you can think of other fan categories that fit, please include them as well!
Here are the categories and their descriptions:
1. Action fans. Bring it on! Your love for Xena: Warrior Princess is only one instance of your general love for action shows. You love action-heavy episodes and get restless watching ones with relatively little action.
2. Fantasy geeks. You've never met a cult show you didn't like. Well, maybe you have, but your love for Xena: Warrior Princess is only one instance of your general fantasy geekdom. You love sci-fi fantasy cult shows in general and are a fan of one or more other "geek" shows (Farscape, Star Trek, The X-Files, etc.)
3. Heroine addicts. Let's hear it for chicks who kick butt! You are drawn to strong, nontraditional female heroes, particularly women warriors. The fact that Xena: Warrior Princess is about strong women who fight is a major part of the show's appeal for you.
4. Gabfans. Xena who? For you, the heart of the show was Gabrielle and its greatest story was her journey. Okay, maybe not quite "Xena who?", but you can't imagine watching the show without Gabrielle.
5. Subtexters. Xena + Gabrielle forever! You are a strong believer in the romance between Xena and Gabrielle, as a couple in love and probably lovers; the subtext (or maintext) is one of the most important things to you as a fan.
6. Shippers. Xena and Ares rule! Xena and Ares are your favorite pair and one of the things you love best as a fan.
7. Bitexters. Yes, both ways. You see no reason to choose between Xena/Gabrielle and Xena/Ares -- you may lean toward one pairing or the other, but you love both.
8. Friendshippers. Friends forever -- just friends. The Xena/Gabrielle relationship is one of the most important things about the show to you, perhaps the most important -- but as a great friendship, not a romance.
9. Joxer fans. Blunder on! (Yes, I stole that phrase from Nancy Lorenz/Lethaia.) For you, Ted Raimi/Joxer is a big part of what made the show so great.
10. Deep thinkers. Why isn't there a Ph.D. in Xena studies? You love pondering the deeper themes and questions of the show: justice, mercy, forgiveness, revenge, redemption, fate, the greater good, violence vs pacifism, and so forth.
11. Spiritual questers. Thank you for not mentioning dams. A somewhat different breed from the deep thinkers, you are intensely interested in spiritual and religious matters and are inspired by the show's exploration of spirituality, different religions, and various spiritual paths.
12. Mythology mavens. Zeus, Hera and Ares! You love ancient mythology, and the fact that X:WP drew a lot of its material from mythological subjects (Greek and other) is a major draw for you.
13. Ares worshipers. The leather -- mention the leather. Ares in his various incarnations, whether as Big Bad God of War or feckless but likeable mortal, is a major reason you watch the show.
14. Ancient history buffs. Caesar -- Julius Caesar. You love ancient history, so how can you resist a show that portrays, in its own fanciful way, such events as the battle of Marathon and such individuals as Caesar, Pompey, and Caligula? You may or may not be put off by X:WP's overly fanciful spin on history, but the fact that it deals with the subject matter at all is a big plus.
15. Horsetexters. The love that dare not speak its neighm. Of course Xena's only true love is Argo -- is everyone blind?
16. Amazon adventurers. To a strong Amazon nation! The notion of a sisterhood of strong women who kick butt appeals to you deeply; you are passionately interested in Amazon lore from myth and history, and love the fact that X:WP depicts Amazons and deals with their culture.
17. Fanfic nuts. Canon, schmanon! You adore fan-created stories about Xena, Gabrielle, and your other favorite characters from the show. You love your favorite stories at least as much as you love the show itself, and may consider them a legitimate source of your perception of the characters.

4A. Xenafanatics. It's all about the Warrior Princess herself! You adore her. You worship her. You identify with her. Sure, there were other characters on the show, and you even like some of them, but none compare to Xena.
