I didn't realize that a rights dispute was behind Young Hercules not being released on DVD -- is that a fact? I thought it was simply a matter of the companies thinking there's not enough interest in the DVDs (since YH never had the kind of following X:WP or H:TLJ did). I do know that the YH pilot (a 2-hour movie, I think?) was released as part of the Universal Action Pack.

As I remember it, there was a discussion about it at one of the forums at a con that I attended where this issue came up. That was several years ago, but at that time, there was a campaign to keep the show on the air because it had just been cancelled. The cancellation had nothing to do with ratings because it was the highest rated show in its time slot. It was cancelled because of a turf war between Ren Pics/Universal and the Fox network, where it aired. I can't remember what the nature of the dispute between them was, but the producer, Cynthia Hsiuing (sp?), from Ren Pics, was starting a campaign to save the show and get another network to pick it up.
