I'm new here, so hopefully it's okay to post this, but I just wanted to put the word out there that I'm building a Young Hercules Wiki that will eventually be chock-full of everything you ever wanted to know (and more!) about Young Hercules. It's still a little on the bare-bones side, but I'm updating it almost daily and I plan to one day have it be the most complete and comprehensive (and current!) site about the show. As one interested in the YOUNG HERCULES series, both because of its place in the PacRen renditions of the myths, and because it gives us the most of Discord(Meighan Desmond, I'm a fan), I'm happy to see the site. May I disagree on one point though? I see nothing to indicate that Strife was Discord's child. I'm pretty sure I heard him refer to Ares as "Uncle" or "Unc" on occasion in YH and HTLJ; maybe that could be stretched to short for "Grand-uncle" but I don't think so. I suspect any child conceived by Discord would have died in the womb at once. (I'm sour).

There was nothing in the YH series that ever mentioned Strife's parentage (through he often called Ares his uncle). First Citizen Posts: 152 11/05/12 9:08 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Hey guys, so I'm currently living in Germany and like other Kevin Smith fans I've been surfing for Young Hercules (1998–1999) DVDs forever and each year I looked, I ran into a wall OR some fake copies (which i never bought). This evening I was in a Media Markt (sorta like a Best Buy over here) and I saw this: Der junge Hercules - Volume 1 [4 DVDs] does anybody know if a US version has come out yet? You can find that one on Amazon.de but they don't have Young Hercules on amazon.com or ebay.com... any info out there? Mrs.Eris K

First Citizen Posts: 152 11/05/12 2:08 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Hey hey, Want to know the good news about this; the German stuff is dubbed in German but you can watch the original stuff in English with no subtitles and such. I just saw today that vol. 2 will be out in Jan 2013 =). I think i'm going to get this then. I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't a full collection for the US version or i'd buy it instead. I guess they might not put it on DVD in the US because you can watch it on hulu over there = (. Man i miss home lol (NY) but at least i'll get to add the dvds to my collection. Mrs.Eris K

I think I will just wait until Young Herc is released on DVD in the US. It shouldn't be much longer because Ryan Gosling is very popular now. I think NBC owns the rights to Young Herc so they should want to capitalize on that series soon. I know it is viewable for free on Hulu, but I don't like using Hulu. Does anyone know if you can watch Young Herc on Hulu through the Xbox 360? I used to subscribe to Hulu Plus, but I canceled it because most of the shows that I wanted to watch I wasn't able to see because you could only view them online, not on the XBOX 360. I think that with Hulu Plus you can watch Xena both online and on the 360, but I have all the DVDs already. Right now I am downloading Young Herc from a torrent, all 50 episodes. They were recorded from TV when they aired years ago so the quality is not good, but they will have to do until a DVD is released in the USA that has a reasonable price.

And as for Hulu... since i'm living in Germany now I can't watch it =(. And if I were you, I'd get a HDMI cable, hook it up to your computer (laptop or w/e) and connect it to your TV and then watch hulu that way =). They might take longer to release in the US since people can watch it on Hulu for free... the rest of the world can't though. Mrs.Eris K

And the seller is shipping it from Germany too so if you have a amazon account just go on amazon.de and order your copy directly from amazon =). Out of interest, is there an episode in which he meets a young Xena, or a young Gabrielle? That would be cool to see (and if not, the producers missed a trick).

I actually think this would not even have been possible. They would have been too young. Xena's 10 winters ago happened during the timeframe of the Hercules movies ( I would say , specifically, after Circle of Fire since he has kids after that movie that I figure the oldest to be at least 8). So basically Xena would have been a little girl when Herc was a teen. And it is possible Gabrielle had not even been born or was just a baby when he was a teen. However, that said, it would be interesting if he did happen to help out Xena's town when she was little (maybe even when her dad was still around).
