What episodes do you go to to watch that give you warm fuzzies and fulfill your X/G urges? My list: Sins of the Past- to me it was always obvious that there was chemistry and a deeper connection, from day one, between X&G. Altared States- "by the gods, you are beautiful!" "loving every moment" Is there a Doctor in the house? - Xena's raw grief and then relief over Gabrielle Girls just wanna have fun - cheesy, but whats not to love about X&G as hot vampires and the blatant sexuality of the biting scene? "Do it Gabrielle!" Return of Callisto- ok, so Gabrielle marries Perdicus...but the look on Xena's face and the kiss...and the oops, I could have saved Perdicus but I didn't moments make up for it! The Xena Scrolls- just because its like an Uber, and all the possibilities of Mel and Janice A Solstice Carol- the lamb! awwwww The Quest- THE kiss...the butt grab (maybe) and Xena inside of Gabrielle A Day in the life- "But can we cook with your juices?" "she likes what I do" , the bath scene, and the old married couple bickering. Love it! Blind Faith- just so touching that Xena is willing to go blind in order to save Gabrielle Been there, done that - is that a hickey? and the image of Xena holding/comforting Gabrielle The Debt- can we say jealousy? Gabrielle: "You owe someone so much, that you would just throw away these last few years." (in other words, me?) Xena: "yes." ouch!! Warrior Priestess Tramp- Out of all the Warrior...etc episodes this was the most subtexty! I love Leah. Maternal Instincts- nothing hurts more than feeling betrayed by the one you love most. The opposite of love is hatred after all... The Bitter Suite- awwww they made up! "The love of your love is you" One Against an Army- very maintext, "even in death Gabrielle, I will never leave you" Fins Femmes and Gems- fisting a fish? and that look on Xena's face when Gabrielle is talking about finding the person for her (herself!)- priceless! Sacrifice 2- nothing says I love you like hurling yourself into a pit of hot lava to save your sweetheart Adventures in the sin trade- nothing says I love you like losing your mind and going to the land of the dead to find your sweetheart A Family affair- Xena finds Gabrielle! "oh, sweetheart! I looked for you!" and the worshipful hand kiss Locked up and tied down- I love how Gabrielle gets to save Xena this time Crusader- the green eyed monster strikes again! Xena: "you have the same weakness I do" (Gabrielle) Between the lines- Xena and Gabrielle learn they will be together in one way or another in many lifetimes. And the Mendhi scene- hot! Ides of March- so amazing and satisfying seeing Gabrielle throw all her "way of love and peace" crap out the window and hack apart Roman soldiers to defend Xena. That and the prison scene, the kiss on the forehead, and the actual crucifixion, main text! De Ja Vu All over again- uber, Xena and Gabrielle together again Fallen Angel- "we're going to be together for eternity" Animal Attraction- the look on Gabrielle's face when Xena announces she is pregnant...hehe. God fearing child- so sweet to see Gabrielle delivering baby Eve and the adorable image of the three of them as a family Kindred Spirits- the little family living in Amazon land, Xena struggling with settling down, and finally reading Gabrielle's scrolls- oh and lets not forget "not tonight" Antony and Cleopatra- jealous jealous Gab! Motherhood- "we've got our daughter back" Heart of Darkness- the dance (and Gabrielle throwing things at Lucifer because she is jealous) Who's Gurkhan- the dances...the halluciantions of Gab dancing erotically...the subtle stroking of Xena's side when she was injured The Abyss- Xena cradling Gabrielle in the cave. "I want to lie with you...I want it to be this way forever" "any path is ok Xena, as long as its with you" The Return of the Valkyrie - the kissss...and of course Brunhilda and that conversation about X&G in the previous Ring triology episodes Old Ares had a farm- the farm girl outfits...Xena telling Gabrielle more about her childhood, the bed scene (that glare Xena gives Ares when Gabrielle's hand wanders in her sleep- MINE (meaning Gabrielle), and the "a change of position is in order" ) You are There - the love hearts when X&G are looking at each other...and the "Well, technically," (WE ARE LOVERS YES!) Send in the Clones- another uber showing X&G together again When Fates Collide - the longing looks on the balcony..."Don't you touch her!" and the scene where Gabrielle burns the loom...talk about a perfect love story Many Happy Returns - the Sappho poem! The look of utter adoration on Xena's face...melts I refuse to include FIN in this list, although there are not just subtext moments but maintext moments. (the 30 seconds line, the kiss) But it is too little, too late, and the decapitated head of Xena kinda puts a damper on the whole thing. NO THANKS. But yay, lists, I love lists! ETA: Ok, I read the list...LOVE IT! I would probably agree with you on most of those actually. I might make a list of my absolute faves though, seeing as how I love making lists and all. When Gabrielle throws the rope around her own neck to save Xena and how she comes back even after Xena hit her. Also The Price "No, you understand hatred but you've never given into it...you don't know how much I love - that" so sweet

Yeah, there is no denying they are soulmates. "Ceasar would have given anything to have you look at him the way you looked at her last night." Many Happy Returns: The poem is everything I need to say The rest of the episode speaks for itself. One Against An Army: It takes a lot for Xena to choose something over the Greater Good. And the only thing that could do that is Gabrielle Return of The Valkyries: Only Gabrielle's soulmate can enter the fire and save her, along with the ring. Who might that soulmate be? There's the poem, obviously... But it's all the little things that really make it special, I love the jokey/playful moments. The same goes for A Day In The Life. The bickering is a fine example of how close they are, like a couple. Not to forget - "Hower's mine... She's yours" Return Of Callisto I love too. The kiss is very short and sweet, but it says so much. Thanks Callisto Some of my favourite subtext comes from when they are apart, as in The Quest, like Gabrielle with the coffin... (oh and the small matter of the kiss ) And epsecially one of my absolute favourite episodes Adventures In The Sin Trade. I love everything about that episode; from Xena mourning/waling for Gabrielle, to her trip to the afterlife to see her again. Then there's the big dramatic love story that is When Fates Collide, which I think it would be impossible not to mention here. And while we're on that theme - Return Of The Valkyrie. Lastly, Soul Posession... because it goes a little way towards making up for all the FIN-related damage.

Destiny: Gabrielle saying at the end: The world needs you, I need you. Makes me cry all the time A Day in the Life: Xena and Gabrielle as a real couple. The Bitter Suite: the Love of your love song, and the warm hug at the end OAAA: the whole episode is just pure subtext Sacrifice 2: Xena saying to Gabrielle: You gave my life meaning and joy and you will be part of me forever When in Rome: the end scene of the boat when they say I love you to each others AFA: Xena and Gabrielle scene at the end, so sweet the way GAbrielle leans her head on Xena's shoulder Between the Lines: Xena and Gabrielle are soulmates Endgame: the end scene at Ephiny's funeral when Gabrielle is crying and Xena hugs her. That was such a sweet and touching scene. Ides of March: Xena and Gabrielle prison scene, and the crucifiction when Xena sais: you are the best thing in my life. G: I love you Xena. God Fearing Child: Xena and Gabrielle are a family All season six: especially HOD(the dance) WIG, The Ring Trilogy, WFC, MHR and FIN.

When Fates Collide - It's a brilliant episode on its own accord, but it is also the one episode where I can let go of the show and be nothing but a subber. Otherwise I keep themes and character development in mind when watching it, and all of it in larger context. With WFC all I do is melt in the face of one of the greatest love stories ever told. And because all else fades away all that is left is a hardcore subber core and that to me, makes this the best X/G episode ever. Not the subtextiest, just the best X/G one. So when the world is a harsh place and I can't be bothered reading yet another piece of fanfic, but still want the love, this is it. I love Leah. Was there subtext, I cant remember...can you jog my memory? All I remember of that episode is Leah tied to a stake, Gabby hinting at masturbation, and that one of the Hestian virgins had a big rack. I think think the ultimate subtext episode is the quest. How could they top that? The scene where xena/auto steals her body out of the Amazon camp, and Gabrielle realizes its Xena - priceless. And when they're in that spiritual space, and Xena comforts Gabby - and remember when Gabby told Xena "there's so many things I want to say to you"? I love innocent Gabrielle. I think the reason why Xena kisses Gabrielle was for just in case she didnt make it back. To express her romantic love for her (I dont think they become partners until season 3.) I found the whole moment to be so monumental that I wondered how they could top it. My reasoning for the kiss in "The Quest" is the same for the kiss in ROC.
