I was pretty much speechless after the movie. So much to absorb and think about. It was like being punched in the gut.

Definitely raises the bar for "comic book movies". And I don't think anything else will come close to this movie for years to come (although that's not necessarily a bad thing, because if I left every film feeling like I did after this one, I'm not sure how many I would want to go and see).

Question for those that have seen the film. When Batman was *hurt* in the next to final scene, was the coin clean or dirty? To me, it looked like the coin had landed with the "clean" side facing up (which means Batman shouldn't have been shot, using the logic of the coin as applied previously). BUT I don't see the coin-flipper not following the "logic/fate/direction/destiny" of the coin, since that was the whole point of the coin - you follow what it says.

So, did it appear clean or dirty to you?

The coin was clean as far as I remember, but also remember that before the accident happened to the coin flipper, he used to always go on about how he made his own destiny and that to me cancels out any coin flipping he does, although he follows the result most of the time. That's just what I think.

Now, the movie itself was absolutely amazing. Midnight showings are always fun The one scene that got me the most was everything that happened on the boats and the predicament the passengers and the prisoners had to go through. It was a very strong example of a moral dilemma-would I do what he says to save myself/family and watch others suffer, or would I rather risk my own life so that others may live. The simple fact that the factors of the situation were put into view before it all came down to it amazed me, but I think the whole capstone was what Michael Clark Duncan did. It gave me faith in people as a whole again.

I could keep going, but I'm still being washed with the amazingness of the film. Mmmm-mmm good!
