I guess this would be the best place to post a little report on Lucy's Citywalk concert.

We drove from St. George, Utah, through Nevada, part of Arizona and California (including Death Valley) to get there in time. We arrived in Universal city around 3 pm. Annie and I went over while my mom stayed in the hotel with the animals. We met up with Janna, and later on, with InkyBlue and Gib! Annie and I got front row spots along with Janna, and we had an excellent view of ....well, Lucy.

My favorite part was actually the sound check, first we saw Michael Orland and then Lucy's backup singers from the Roxy, (I recognized them immeditately), and then LUCY! I was so shocked. She hung out on stage for nearly an hour, mostly waiting around, her mic wasn't working for a while, she was playing around with her ipod or something, texting. Laughing. Talking and joking with the crowd. It was amazing seeing her in broad daylight, and just a few feet away. She looked stunning, as always. They finally sang a few songs, or parts of them, and when she sang I'm a witch, everyone laughed. Including Lucy.

After the soundcheck, Annie and I ran over to the side of the stage to see if we could possibly say hi to Lucy or get an autograph...but I was so flustered that I didn't bring my camera or anything with me. Sure enough Lucy was hanging around, and I called out and said "Lucy! Would you sign my daughters t-shirt?" (Annie was wearing an I love Lucy shirt). She came right over and signed Annie's shirt, and said to us, "Are you guys local?" I wasn't expecting her to ask me a question! I said "No, we're from Arizona." ANd Lucy said "Wow, cool!" and touched Annie's hand. Here's the AFTER pic....still can't believe I didn't have a camera on me!

The concert itself was excellent...Lucy was beautiful, sexy, and sang beautifully. We sang along with her a lot, especially to "You're so Vain" and "What's going on." She sang Come to Mama, which is one of my favorites....and I fooled around and fell in love, which I LOVE! It was weird being front row, I always get really shy when I think Lucy might be making eye contact...lol.

After the concert Annie got another autograph, this time on a Xena photograph. A security guard lady saw Annie leaning over the rail trying to get Lucy's attention and carried the photo over to Lucy, who smiled at Annie and signed it for her. Lucy was soooo sweet and lingered for quite a while for the fans. We saw Inky getting her photo taken with Lucy but we were too late to get a pic with Lucy...but thats ok. Maybe next time.

And then I felt someone tap my shoulder and turned around, and there was GIBBY! Awwwww lil Giblet...sooo cute and funny. Even if I do say her name wrong. And her friend was with her too, she was so nice, and took some pics of all of us together.

After it was all over we went out to dinner with Janna, Inky and Fiona. Annie fell asleep with her head on the table, but the grown-ups had a great time. Inky was so sweet and still in a bit of Lucy haze I think...she reminded me of Leigh so much I almost cried when she said the word "loo." I wanted my baby to be there sooo badly, but it was still so fun to hang out with my other fellow XOCers.

We had a great time and I am so glad Annie and I made it. Seeing Lucy again was sooo cool, I loved her new hair and she looked and sounded fabulous! It was sooo worth rushing the rest of our road trip to see her. I had this sad feeling watching Lucy walk off, the same feeling I had at the Roxy after her last encore. I'm gonna miss my Lucy!

Well, you can all see the photos and video clips posted, but YES it was totally amazing. She puts on such a great show, and I was so proud of her. There were all these people wandering over, and I kept hearing the words "Xena! Yeah it's really Xena" and "Oh yeah, she was hot!" being muttered.

The poor boy band that opened for her (Paperback Hero, they were actually pretty good), had three rows of Lucy fans in the front, all just waiting and wanting LUCY. Many of whom were probably lesbians. lol. I couldn't help feel bad for them but I think we were pretty good to them as well. Of course the crowd went wild when Lucy was announced.

Well thats all I can think of right now, I may edit later if I remember more or get more pics. And thanks again for Janna who not only waited around for us, brought a stool for Annie to stand on so she could see better (you ROCK), provided beverages *wink* and rescued Annie's bag when we ran off and left it to go get Lucy's autograph.
