When you are smaller breasted? Not so much. When you have a large bust? I cannot give a more emphatic yes. By the time I was 14, I had to see a chiropractor twice a week from not wearing a bra with good support. I learned my lesson quickly and I still suffer periods of back trouble from it. But there are tons of women with large busts who do not know the wonders of a good bra, they are the ones with neck pain and back injuries. Just because there are tribal women who go without doesn't mean they aren't suffering these problems and pains because of it. But in National Geographic or other shows studying tribal cultures, they never ask women these questions. Probably because most the time the interviewers/researchers are male and they often try to pretend the exposed breasts aren't there (since in Western culture breasts have become so sexualized), perhaps to feel more comfortable in the environment. I wouldn't be surprised, if one did end up asking a tribal woman with large breasts, if that woman replied, "My back is killing me. You know, the usual."

Thank you for this response. It never occurred to me that tribal women might suffer these back problems. I thought that women still had those back problems even if they wore a bra. I didn't realize it had anything to do with it.
