Actually, I remember that when SP first aired, someone on the SUSA Netforum wondered, "Did they pay Kevin to look ugly in this episode?"
I wouldn't go so far as to say "ugly," but hot? Not for me.

Not to drag this topic more off topic, but sadly, I'm also not a big fan of the SP look. I rather like the long hair (example:Deja Vu All Over Again: not
fond of the ep, but Ares was rather tasty in it), and I like the short. As long as the Season 1 beard thing isn't around, I'm good (though he somehow
managed to look good with that, despite it's scariness)

Jumping on the bandwagon. I found nothing hot about Ares in SP, in either timeline. Although I prefer the short hair, I usually like the long, too, but both of
those wigs were just...ewww.
 What would I change? FIN, duh. Either it gets replaced with a finale that doesn't suck ostrich eggs (I like LK's idea the best  ) or Gabrielle
dumps the ashes and tells Akemi to "go frak herself".

Well ok, Miz Cookies! I will admit that he looks pretty good in that shot.
However, there were moments in SP when his face looked a little too gaunt. I
think Kevin was trying to rapidly lose weight for a stage part at the time.
