I'm going to go with Mezentius from The Path Not Taken. I thought he was rather bland and certainly not menacing. Seemed more like an administrator than a warlord.

Inspired by faith102's Favorite Xena Villain thread, now how about your least favorite villain?

My least favorite of the major recurring villains is Alti; while well acted she was written too one dimensional for my
tastes. Her ability to make people relive past pain is pretty impressive and spooky, but would have liked more depth to her character, especially as she kept
showing up.
For one ep wonders....hmmm. I dunno. They just all sort of run together. I'm gonna go with Cortese for now, he was just pathetic and really did expect a bit more from the warlord who was such an important turning point in Xena's life. On the other hand, bit ironic that such a weak warlord helped create the Destroyer of Nations. Still, he was so pathetic I'm not sure how he ended up with the reputation of being so bad or pulling off the king thing, let alone not having been killed long before we ever had a chance to see him in Death Mask. |

Yodoshi.
Considering he was in the finale, I expected much more from the writers. |

Can I just echo dahllaz on Alti
I actually like Mezentius -- I thought he was smart, sleazy and sort of ... dangerous, in a low-key way. Yeah, he seemed more like a bureaucrat or businessman than a warlord, but that made him different in an interesting way. And he was memorably repulsive in Remember Nothing. Of the one-offs, I think my least favorite (besides Cortese) was Satrina. Good concept, poor execution.

Satrina and Mavican for being laughable one-offs you know they wanted to bring back but wisely didn't.
Both sucked at fighting and also didn't know when to shut the hell up.

I'd have to go with Alti - she was okay in AITST, but then they kept bringing her back over and over, and she basically became a plot device.

I'll go with Cortese. I'm not surprised that one who in effect changed Xena's life was so pathetic; after all, he was just a jumped-up bandit then
(as were most of the warlords in the show).
Mezentius wasn't a warlord. He supplied them with arms. He seems to have controlled Traxis, but didn't go around fighting. |

I hate that guy that used to play the generic good, but became a general. He looks kinda big and hairy and was one of Xena's generals. He look like a
generic goon more than anything.

Hmm, which episodes was he in? I'm not sure who you're talking about.
