I was thinking about the things I like and hate about AFIN and one of them was the whole 'Xena goes back to fix one of her past mistakes' thing. Like,
that's so original! We've only seen it only 3566000 gazillion times before. And it got me thinking, do you think it became too repetitive towards the
end? To me, by season 6 Xena had moved a bit away from the guilt trip that were the first few seasons for her and more towards doing good because it was the
right thing to do, not because of her guilt (even though it was still there). Yet, they kept repeating that same storyline over and over.
After the norse eps they should've stopped it. Yet there it is again in LOTC and AFIN.
Do you think it was excessive? Did we have to be reminded over and over that Xena was a meanie once?

Enough is enough at some point. Particularly when you
throw in other "Xena has to clean up a mess from her past" stories that don't involve foreign travel. And particularly when you add up the other
recycled elements like the appearance of a mystery "ex-girlfriend" (Lao Ma, Anokin, Akemi). What's more, in both AITST and FIN, Xena has to cross
over to the world of the dead and destroy an evil entity in order to liberate the souls of people whose death she has caused and who are now held captive by
said evil entity. (The only difference is that in AITST Xena gets to come back.)
