unfortunately the viewers in the US will still be unable to view your vids so it wont help.

my account was set up while i was in the US and it recognises right away that i'm in NZ so i can watch them. i tryed it an old dud account opened up too in the US to be sure because it still says location as USA, but it knew i was in NZ too!

Now asking about clip sizes... not sure what constitutes a long clip without testing it, but i'd definately be a bit nervous about sticking anything over 6 seconds, but that's just me... you may be ok with 10. the one in my blocked in USA vid was about 30 seconds...

what you have to do is screw up the fingerprint of the clip, now i'm no expert but i would say that if you slow down the clip this would warp the clips fingerprint enough that the programme wont be able to recognise it. what it does is it matches the vid to copyrighted material submitted by the copyright holder, in this case Universal, then it will enforce what the copyrightholder has decided. In Universal's case to block from viewers in USA. i'm pretty sure they are going to get better and better at it and begin recognising shorter clips. Plus you can do other tricks too lol

yeah, i've been wondering that myself... i dont think so, but what you need to do is test it and just upload something you know is going to be identified in b & w and see if it works

ok, it has to be something that will get matched up. i got caught using a 30 second uninterupted clip from the prodigal that i removed and re-uploaded about 3 times too. i also tried testing it by uploading it again to a new account and every time it got caught right. well if i upload the exact same piece of the prodigal that i used, it should be identified. it only takes a few minutes to get caught during the processing. when it gets caught take it down, add the b & w effect and upload again... if it gets caught then you know that adding the b & w effect hasn't messed with the match... you can test the b & w theory as long as all other elements remain the same.
