ARES: You're with her now. I handled you, all wrong. I know that. She knew what you needed. Unconditional, and unselfish love, and I couldn't give that to you. But I appreciated you in ways she never could. Your rage, your violence, your beauty. When you sacrificed yourself for others you were hers, but when you kicked ass, you were mine. I mean come on! How can you have any doubt about their relationship after that! Usually we debate weither when X/G's "love" is mentioned, it could be friendly love. He knew he couldn't compete with what she brought to Xena's life. Not to rain on any shipper or bitexters parade either, but damn, how much more obvious can you get!? "You're with her now", I mean, come on!!! In a way, I feel a tad bad for Ares...okay, no, I don't. WITHOUT GABRIELLE, THERE WOULD BE NO XENA!!! Proud member of the PLA! Long live Queen Gabrielle! Gabrielle's response always gets to me, not just for the words themselves, but the way she delivers them. MILF: "I've never been in a war. I've only wondered what it was like. I'd think of Flanigus out there-- fighting. Sometimes the thoughts were too much to bear." Gabrielle: "I know what you mean."
