You paid the tuition so if it sincererly was not your fault the exam crashed, you have every right to a resit or substitute exam. Granted, a lot depends on
whether you're willing to make a fuss, but if it was me I would be in there raising holy hell until they let me retake the exam or graded me on a curve
representative of what I was able to finish before the computer crashed. They can't just say "sorry, you're f*****" and expect you to accept
that.
The worst exams I've had was my first year of undergraduate. Of my 5 finals I wound up with 3 of them in one day. Well, actually, I had 4 of them in one day and I arranged for an alternate date for one of them (uni policy if you have more than 2 on one day you can take alternatives) but then was reeeeally stupid and figured I could handle the other 3. Hahaha. I had the first one at 7:45 that morning and by halfway through #2 around noon I was already fatigued. When I got the third I hardly knew up from down and as it was a lab practical exam, I walked around looking at the dissected fish I was supposed to label, laughing my ass off and having absolutley not a freaking clue what the organs I was looking at were (the gills I pointed to and thought to myself "well, I know they use those for breathing").
Thankfully I had a solid 4.0 in that class before the exam so even with the dismal final grade I had a 3.5 I
think.
I got smart. Never tried pulling 3 exams in one day again!
