I don't want Vista, i've never used it and don't want to. I'm currently hiding from it. All the computers sold around here have Vista on them....dreading going to buy the new one, it should be a happy occasion. No Xena, No Xenaverse! Jenn's issue sounds like the symptoms to a nasssty trojan I got nailed with several months back. I wound up wiping my system too, after days spent doing registry fixes and trying to get the damn, self-propagating, virus completely removed. Finally gave up and started over. Get nailed with one of those and it doesn't matter what OS you're running, it's going to go haywire. Might be a good thing you just opted for the wipe, Jenn, instead of troubleshooting a fix. My laptop's been running Vista for 6 months now and no issues. Aside from being a huge RAM hog (I wound up chucking dual 2 gig chips into this thing and then it ran well ), I've loved it. I'm one of those who hid from XP. XP Home is the worst OS released since Windows ME (which should have been burned on the production line). shudders XP Pro was passable but still a pain in the butt.
