I have to get a new computer soon, this one has somehow :looks at my father and glares: lost vital files that it needs to run. I don't want Vista, i've
never used it and don't want to.

No Xena, No Xenaverse! "Poor old Johnny Raye, sounded sad upon the radio, he moved a million hearts in mono." Thanks goes out to Trancegem for the nametag, and to a whole bunch of lovelies for the userbar. |

Don't totally knock the operating system unless you're sure that was the problem. Jenn's issue sounds like the symptoms to a nasssty trojan I got
nailed with several months back. I wound up wiping my system too, after days spent doing registry fixes and trying to get the damn, self-propagating, virus
completely removed. Finally gave up and started over. Get nailed with one of those and it doesn't matter what OS you're running, it's going to go
haywire. Might be a good thing you just opted for the wipe, Jenn, instead of troubleshooting a fix.
My laptop's been running Vista for 6 months now and no issues. Aside from being a huge RAM hog (I wound up chucking dual 2 gig chips into this thing and then it ran well
