I think you need to spray for them kizzy! You can buy some spray that is kind of preventative. You spray it in the cracks and around the perimeter of your room/house every few days. It is supposed to either kill spiders or deter them.

I've had lots of horrible run ins with spiders.
It's kinda funny you mentioned the spider in the shower because I had a similar thing happen to me yesterday. I live in dorms here at college and we have a big communal bathroom with about 4 shower stalls seperated by curtains. I got in the last one, put my stuff down and went to start the water and saw a spider lurking in the corner. luckily I was still dressed, so I just moved stalls but for the rest of the shower I was looking everywhere warily because the ceilings in there are really low.

When I was a small child I had a plastic picnic basket that I kept outside for a while. It then got colder so I brought the toy in and put it under my bed. Weeks later, after getting bitten in bed so often and not knowing why my mom read me a story ad we saw a small spider crawl across the covers. THen another. we soon discovered they were ALL over my room, and probably moving to the rest of the house too. I'm not really sure how my parents fixed that problem. I don't want to think about it anymore.

Right before my family moved from our home of 20 years to the new one I was putting the dog gate up in the utility room where my dog slept. I saw one of those huge wolf spiders charmed darling mentioned. I wasn't going to let my baby sleep in there with one of those so I put some shoes on and went to kill it. Well those little buggers are FAST and super scary because they are so big. And my parents were already in bed and wouldnt' help me kill it. SO it hide. And for awhile I couldnt' find it. Then I saw it went behind the freezer (looks like a large fridge) that was squeezed beside the washer and dryer. I wasnt going to let it stay there. I wanted it DEAD so I could go to bed. So I tried to move the freezer out from the wall (it weighs A LOT) and I took a yard stick, sat on the washer, and wacked the spider, trying to get it from behind the freezer. No luck. And I made some marks in the linoleum from moving the freezer. Finally the thing tried to crawl up a wall. So i jumped down and tried to smash it on the wall with my shoe. HORROR of HORRORS, it fell on my shoe!!!!!! I screamed bloody murder and literally felt like I was in battle adn the enemy was about to best me (and crawl up my leg)! However, I shook my foot enough that it fell off and I was able to smash it, put the dog back in the room, and go to bed.

Next! This semester, right after I got back from xmas break (1 month off, not allowed in dorms) I was sweeping my room and moving things around. I had this TV cabinet I suppose you could call it. It was flat on top with a drawer under that, then this big open space (where my vcr was) then on the very bottom there was a big cabinet with 2 doors. I moved it away from the wall to clean where it was and noticed a bunch of cob webs. And I thought 'well, it was in the garage all summer. I did tell my parents to clean it before they brought it to me, but maybe it is just remanents from previous spider inhabitants of teh garage. NOPE! I saw a nice long legged one crawling around. All the cob webs were mostly in that huge open area where the VCR was from what I could see. So I screamed bloody murder! Especially after i saw a couple more. I didn't know what to do with a colony of spiders. So after screaming like a mad woman for a few minutes I called my parents to bawl to them, they told me to go to the front desk and see what they had. They didn't have anything. No bug spray, no nothing. Not even a vacum cleaner hose to suck them up with!

So while freaking out more and saying to them that I was NOT staying in that room with them another night (it was like 8-9pm) they agreed to come upstairs and acess teh problem and they told the hall director. I wanted to put the cabinet out in the hall way but they wouldn't let me because then it would contaminate the whole building. They wanted to throw it out and I said it wasn't mine to throw out and then they kept telling me about spider eggs, and so I finally convinced my angry father to let them help me wrap it in garbage bags and chuck it. I haven't seen anything major in here since thank god. but my parents tried to convince me that they had cleaned it and the spiders must have come from HERE (my dorm) in the first place. So I have had 2 cans of bug spray with me.

I've also had a few nasty spiders in my parents new house too. I tore my room up looking for one that fell off the ceiling when I tried to smash it. I didn't find it, so I slept on the couch in the living room. Actually, I stayed up until dawn on the couch in the living room. I did find the spider eventually. guess where? in the living room, on the wall by my room. If followed me! The other day I turned on the light in the garage and in mid air (I have a habit of jumping off stairs rather then walking down them) I saw a black blob on the ground, figured it was a spider and leaped a little farther. yes it was a spider. A nice sized one. It was positioned between me and the door and me and the fridge in the garage (where I wanted to grab a coca cola from). So what was I going to do? If I opened the fridge it would come at my, and I was in my barefeet, and who knew where it's friends were? I couldn't really leap over it back to the steps either. I was afraid I wouldn't make it, or maybe that spiders could fly, lol. So I had to tip toe all the way around one of the vehicles then RUN back into the house and slam the door. I hate spider!!!!!!!!

But that isn't the only thing that makes me go 'Arrgghh'. Another would be people who think they know everything, people who won't listen because they think they know everything, People who think they know everything and display extremely illogical practically nutty behavior but still won't admit they have a problem or are wrong, people who live to make others as miserable as them, people who just can't be happy and can't see the bright side of things, and people who can't make up their minds (that is why I made it a rule on the 'this or that' game that you MUST choose an option).
