I'm diggin' in a huge way the different points of view, the various personalities, and styles in which we communicate. We just did that thread on what we like about each other...why not speak on things you like about YOURSELVES? 1-2-3, go! I like the fact that I get the biggest kick out of the smallest things, that even after all I've seen and been through, I haven't lost my sense of curiosity and fascination with every day life. But I think the things I value the most in myself is: my honesty even to the point that it is too blunt and even though I lack tact for it sometimes, that I really do care about most people and that I am so honestly truly open minded, I am not like some people I know (mother!) who is open minded to only certain people, but who proclaims to be so open minded then begins to be derogatory towards certain people. I like my strength in that i'm not afraid to stand up for myself in a given situation. I like the passion i have for my future. The committment i ahve to becoming a trade unionist simply to help those workers who need it the most. I also like my determination. If i can make something better i will even if it takes so long to achieve it. I like my hair. I know weirdness. But when i was growing up i absolutely hated my hair. Its red which in Australia basically means stay inside or risk being burnt to a crisp. It always leads to teasing when you are a kid and i hated it. Now i openly enjoy the uniqueness of my hair. It is a symbol of who i am and i wouldnt change it for the world. Okay um, what I like about me...hmmm.... I'll go with being able to stand up for myself. I'm not very outgoing or talkative, but if I feel like I am being taken advantage of, or not getting something I feel entitled to, or if someone is being a @$$ then I can get angry and fight hard for what I want. I have to be in anger mode though. If I focus on sad then I just get trampled on. Okay, how bout, I like that I like to read. Being an English major has lessened my degree of enjoyment, because there is just too much reading and writing to do, but for the most part, I still love to read, and I think it has taught me a lot.
