(I always thought that TPTB just didn't do their research thoroughly enough, and got it confused with Abraham and Sarah.) Good points about Lost Mariner! I like "Xena up against gods" episodes; it's fun to see how (1)Xena isn't afraid, and (2) Xena uses creative means to get around that physical invulnerability. I wish Ties that Bind got more attention. Ares is scary in this episode, and Xena gets put through the emotional wringer. It's one of my favorites in a whole season that I really like. And despite it being poorly thought out in many respects, it also is very beautiful and has amazing cinematography. Co-signed. I once read a quote in the Hagakure that said "the way of the warrior is fulfilled in death." It would seem that Xena was no exception. I mean, yeah, there's stuff in those two eps peeps can pick at and criticize and that's all good, don't get it twisted. That's all well and good. But there's a lot of huge moments in it too. Overall, I thought it was a powerful end to a great story. "Respect is the guideline on which we expand. Without respect there is no old, no new. I hated the whole Xena dying and Akemi being selfish and Gabrielle busting her but to bring Xena back but wasn't allowed but it was a good ep. VOTE 4 MARLEE MATLIN on Dancing With The Stars!!! My mind works in really weird ways, so makes this difficult. King Con - not a great ep, so I wouldn't say most underrated. I just don't get Xena even giving a thought to Rafe. Even taking off my subber glasses (impossible, but trying! just to make this point) I just can't see it. Ares as her type, yeah. Borias, yeah. Rafe? Wha? Yet, whenever thinking of this ep I smile. Maybe even giggle a little. Why? Because of the blooper. Where the guy hides under the blanket that no one is supposed to be under because Joxer has been kidnapped and upon seeing him, Lucy jumps and screams. Heeeheee, I love it! Love it love it love it. Lifeblood - that's the one with Amazon High stuff, right? Kinda sucky. Yet, I've got a soft spot for it for no other reason than it totally surprised me when Claudia Black showed up on my screen. I rewound it. I admit, there may have even been a wee little squee. I was still watching Stargate SG:1 at that point, so it was pretty cool seeing 'Vala' in something else. I love the moment when Gabrielle holds Xena's hand in The Giant Killer, but nothing really grabs me other than that. I like the idea of Goliath and Xena being friends and the conflict of that, but on screen it was kinda meh. GJWHF....I have a soft spot for. Xena's face when Gab goes to bite her? Rawr! Joxer is quite funny in this one, especially with the bit about no one being able to sleep and then he snores away and then his baby knife makes another appearance. Ha! Plus, spidah! Lucy is at some of her best in this episode, with the great accent, the mole, it all reminds me of Royal Couple of Theives slightly. Only with Gabrielle! Plus, we get to see a different side to Auto.
