In the final fight of X-Men 3, it always bugged me that Storm spent all her time fighting one person. Well, I just found a deleted scene of her during that
war scene. WHY OH WHY did they deleted this from the movie??? It's awesome, and it looks like an expensive effect!!!!!

There is another extended Storm scene which takes place at Jean's house.
Why oh why they cut these scenes out i do not know !!!! Btw. These deleted scenes are on the 2 disc dvd.Watching these scenes in 5:1 surround makes it even worse that they are not in the film. |

I have the X-Men on dvd, but this scene wasn't included in my bonus footage. The other scene at Jean's house is.
It drove me nuts that Storm was powerful enough to take half the army by herself, but she wasted all her time on one opponent. The only reason I think they deleted this was because they wanted Jean to look like the ultimate power, and this might have taken a notch off her belt. ~~~~~~~~~ I'm the King of Sweetness, my dear. --Hades to Persephone "Not Fade Away." |

You could be right there.
If i remember right,Halle Berry was unhappy at the way Storm was treated in the first two films,and was undicided as to return for X-Men III unless Storm was giving the chance to show her powers more.So what do they do in the end......cut out quite possibly Storm's greatest moment !! Maybe in the future we will get a extended cut dvd,or a seamless branching version,in which you can add the deleted scenes much like the X-Men 1:5 dvd. |

I was going to ask if there was a director's cut! One had better be available soon. The sad thing is that even the action we got from Storm in X 3 was more
than what she did in the other movies. Her "action scenes" in X 2 consisted of her standing there controlling the weather from a stationary position.
I love the tornado whirl in X 3 because at least she got to move!

It's too bad she didn't get to use those powers more often! Of all the mutants, Storm would be the best one to have fighting an army. That's why I
was so mad that in the final movie version, she fights just one bad guy. What a waste of power!

Storm has always been my favorite of the X-Men. She is incredible. IIRC, she was actually worshipped as a goddess by her home village for her weather control
abilities, and I really wanted to see her really "cut loose" and show what she could do in the movies. The scene you linked would have been perfect
for that--can't understand why it was cut. :P

I could see why Halle was disappointed in her role as Storm. The sad part is that despite this major cut from the movie, X 3 is the only film that gave Storm a
decent amount of screen time. I remember being excited when X 1 came out, and then leaving the theater disappointed with how little Storm was explored.
