SUBBER OLYMPIC COMPETITIONS
Greetings fellow subbers. The Subber Olympics are finally here! Well not here as in now…but they will be in a week.
For now you're just going to have to settle for this wacky and yet short introduction, and the small amount of guidelines we have in place…just so everything stays as smooth as possible.
Sprint - 100 word fanfic/ 'fluff'.
1500 metres - 1500 word fanfic/ short, short story.
Relay - 100 word per person fanfic (This one you need to sign up for. Send a PM to me or gravitystar to let us know you want to take part. You will then be allocated a "starting position" and a more thorough explanation of what is expected and how it'll work.)
Obstacle course - 10 set words, fanfic word limit 500-5000 (A list of 10 words will be posted. Each person's fanfic will have to include all 10 of those words, whilst adhering to the fanfiction guidelines below.)
Hurdles - Issues in need of a subtext explanation.
Gymnastics - Twist, twirl and flex images set to chosen themes.
Synchronised Vidding - Set songs to do a subtext video to (Songs posted below.)
Cheerleading - Feedback!
GUIDELINES
General Guidelines
- Subtext only - Maintext only within limits of the show - nothing too explicit please.
- Only new work.
- Collaborations allowed.
Fanfiction Guidelines
- Keep it subtext
- No graphic sex (keep it wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
- Maximum of one lip kiss allowed
- Feel free to bend the rules, but try to stay away from the anarchy.
- Violence, destruction, death, gore, angst all welcome.
- Genres: Classic, conqueror, alternative universe. Characters need to be Xena and Gabrielle. NO UBER.

And as an extra little song in honour of the more explicit elements of subtext we've decided to add;
You can use any of these songs to any themes you like - as long as it keeps to the subtext guidelines. Though obviously if you're using clips from the show…most of it will stay subtext anyway!
