To use the WYSIWIG editor:
Click on the "Insert image" icon on the toolbar above the text box. It is to the right of the "broken link" ("remove hyperlink") icon. Then add a picture from your Yuku album or from a URL by clicking on "add from URL" and pasting the image URL into the box that pops up.
You can also link your Photobucket account to your Yuku account and insert pictures from Photobucket by clicking on the "Insert from Photobucket" toolbar icon (to the right of the "Insert image" one). To link a Photobucket account to the Yuku account, click on "Navigation" (in the upper right corner of the page when logged on the board), then on "settings" (in the "Account" box on the left of the page), and then on "Photobucket."
To use BB codes, type
(img)http://www.mikes-images.com/eps/chakram/images/chakram_mq_164.jpg(/img) , replacing the ( and ) with [ and ]
BB codes can be used either in a WYSIWIG text box (new post or "add reply"), or in "quick reply."
Large pictures will be automatically resized by the board to 500 pixels in width. If this results in image distortion, open up the HTML codes in the text box (by clicking on the "HTML" icon on the toolbar, the last on the right before "spellcheck" and make sure the height and width codes are removed from the image HTML code. For instance, if it says,
< img src="http://www.mikes-images.com/eps/chakram/images/chakram_mq_164.jpg" width=1024 height=768 > change it to: < img src="http://www.mikes-images.com/eps/chakram/images/chakram_mq_164.jpg" > (removing the spaces after the < and before the > )
If you want to resize an image to smaller than 500 px, you can do that (1) by using "insert image," then clicking on the image and "pulling" at the corners until it's the desired size; or (2) using HTML codes. You can use HTML codes either by clicking on the HTML icon in the WYSIWIG text box, or in "Quick reply." Type in:
(img src="http://www.mikes-images.com/eps/chakram/images/chakram_mq_164.jpg" width=300) replacing the ( and ) with < and >
And if you want to link the smaller image back to the larger image:
(a href="http://www.mikes-images.com/eps/chakram/images/chakram_mq_164.jpg")((img src="http://www.mikes-images.com/eps/chakram/images/chakram_mq_164.jpg" width=300)(/a) replacing the ( and ) with < and >
