Hi, Samantha! I'll keep you in my prayers in studying. I've done Advanced Placement exams, and the stakes aren't quite as high for those as for the tests you're describing, but they're high-energy tests, and I was such a wreck when they were done. I didn't want to do anything besides play video games, lol.

As for fanfiction, I don't think Katyrina was referring to a page. YAXI, "Yet Another Xena Inconsistency" is a name we give to stuff on the show that just doesn't make sense. For example, look at the main forum thread right now about who fathered Gabrielle's child post-AFIN. If Gabrielle had no children at the end of the series, yet took up Xena's chakram and headed off to be a warrior afterwards, chances are that she wouldn't have children (she'd have to change her life plans, or take a child along much the same way Xena had problems with Eve, etc.) However, the future episodes show people who might have been Gabrielle's descendants. They can't both be true. That's a YAXI. As fans, we can try to explain it, though. We can say that the people in the future eps were actually Lila's descendants, Gabrielle's children. Or we make up a mystical pregnancy...on and on. So there's one idea for you: you could write a story about how Gabrielle ended up with descendants (or why "The Xena Scrolls" didn't happen). That's also an example of how you can use a YAXI to generate a story.

I can tell you what fanfics I'd like to read! I've toyed with the idea of writing my own, and I am going to do it eventually, but so far, I'm such a perfectionist, lol...I can't get the voices and motivations right to my own satisfaction. So if you could write these instead...well, lots of Net cookies for you, and let me know if you need a beta. The idea of dying and then coming back to life, and how it changes you, has always intrigued me. So in Destiny/The Quest, I believe Xena was actually dead. The show never explored how that affected her, though. I'd love to read a vignette about that. Hmmm, I'd also love to read a vignette about Xena's first few battles--how she got from defending Amphipolis to being a pirate leader. And what actually happened to Lyceus, and how Toris reacted. I'm a big Lila fan, so actually, if you could write a Lila/Joxer story, I think that would be sweet...also Meg/Joxer. Unless you're focusing more on the two leads, you just enjoy writing X&G more? If so, I'd also really love to read more season 4 fic. There was so much unsaid at the end of every episode, especially toward the end, so many things that I wish (and think) X & G talked about, that we never got to see.
