Consider that Boadicea is one of the few figures from Xena's evil past who did not get beyond one episode. But unlike characters like Thalassa and Bacchus, Boadicea is based off a true historical figure and a mighty iconic warrior: Queen Boudica. For Xena, she was both victim and ally, and she was given a full backstory about Xena's involvement with her army. Boadicea's involvement in the episode ended absolutely abruptly, on purpose, to swing us around to Dahak who had been poking up subtly. The only answer that we get of the outcome of her battle was a passing mention by Ephiny, and she's gone for good.
I don't feel that she really served a noble purpose. Had it been some expendable character with no historical basis who brought Xena to Britannia to fight Caesar, I might not have cared. Perhaps I'm biased in a love for Xena's quasi-history, but Boadicea, of all people to choose, really got the shaft. I suspect that she could have been easily used in another war episode where she and Xena finally, completely forgive each other, fight another enemy, and enrich her backstory. Maybe even make it an Evil Xena flashback.
Opinions?
