One question though...and excuse me if I'm being totally airheaded at the moment, but I don't quite get the "It was all about Eve" line at the beginning and the end.

She was the catalyst for the shift in Ares understanding, so many of the crucial events in his path to connection with Xena came about through the sequence of events triggered by Eve's birth, Xena's necessary shifts in her own lifestyle to protect her, from carrying through her faked death to Ares being drawn to Livia to only ultimately winning genuine looks of appreciation and admiration from Xena in saving her to become mortal and thusly bringing himself more into range of consideration for Xena). This is Ares internal attempt at sorting out the course and root of things, and ultimately distilling the elements to the most essential.
