for those referring to Ares killing the villagers in TR has itr not occurred to you that maybe a god doesnt get blood on their hands. i mean they dont get dirty or anything so the possibility is there.

Ares got a chance to evolve and deal with being Mortal, this time it was dealt better than in season 3 when he became Mortal again.

Something else I was thinking, with regard to the mechanics of Ares' godhood and his sword:

Clearly it's not as simple as, "Whoever has possession of Ares' sword can become the God of War."

1. I liked the fact that I never once questioned whether it was Xena. I bought the whole thing. That was Xena.

2. I liked seeing the Big Bad God of War as human and besides they got his shirt off. What's not to like?

3. I liked the occational tenderness not to mention the terrible bandaging job (hello? obvious attempt to touch him) done by Xena and the almost kiss.
