BBQ with fam. Very low-key. And then I'll probably spend the night silently grumbling about everyone who is blowing up illegal fireworks and shooting guns near my house. Goodness knows they've been doing that for the last week leading up to the 4th. Hope everyone has fun!

They legalilzed a bunch of fireworks a few years ago. Before, you had to promise to take them out of state, or to a registered area for the aerial type of fireworks (either minature of what you'd see at shows or in some cases what you'd see at shows). Up until then, you could only use ones that stayed on the ground (fountains and cones). They charge you the sales tax then an additional tax fireworks tax.

When we lived in WA we did our own fireworks. in AZ they are illegal, so we go see the big city ones. I think they did just make sparklers legal here, wish we had some!

Lucky you, Jenn. Fireworks are banned in my city. I'd have to go to another city to use any fireworks I were to buy. And I haven't used fireworks, not even sparklers, in many years.

Don't know what I'll be doing today. Not sure if I'll see fireworks tonight or not.

Yo, gotta work...the mall is doin' a big tailgate party/fireworks thang. A high noon to midnight shift when it's like 537 degrees of Texas heat outside IS NOT the business

not an american but we have goods plans for the weekend!! Party at my friends place on saturday, going to a resort on sunday morning and will be spending whole day in resort.
