    You know, I could swear we&#39;ve had a thread about this before but I can&#39;t find it so I&#39;m starting a new one.
    
    
    As we know, in The Furies it was suggested that Ares was Xena&#39;s father. In the original script, he was
    actually going to be her father, but then the ending was changed to a more ambiguous one. IMO, it was pretty
    conclusively established that he wasn&#39;t her father, but I know... ]]>

The reason I say this is because in greek myth, brother-sister marriages (Zeus and Hera) are quite common and not viewed in a negative light. However,
parent-child sexual relationships (the story of Oedipus) are something that the greeks viewed negatively. I think this is a line even Ares would not have
crossed.
