I gave him a 10, because I'm too loyal to do anything else, but I agree with the posters who said there were some missed opportunities with him. I think Karl played him well enough to hint at things below the surface, to show that strong as his public persona is there is something underneath, but the writing gave him little to work with. The up side to this, though, is that he stands out as a straight up bad guy. He's never softened or redeemed, like some of the shows other bad guys,...

I gave him a 6. He was a great enemy to Xena, but I very much disliked him. Something about him bugged me.

9. I can't say he would have been my favourite characters but he was in few powerful episodes and he was always planning for something unpredictable

i'll give him 10 Points, he is no less than any other villan in the series besides he is only true villan in the entire series who is pure mortal and extremely challenging to Xena. i enjoyed every minute of his presence...!! He acted well as the roman emperror...!!

Oh, I really like him a lot (10 points)... he was bad to the bone, arrogant, very sure of himself, selfish and he had something dangerous in his eyes I felt shivers down my spine when he said to Brutus: "It's not that I love you any less-- but-- that I love-- Rome-- more. And I am-- Rome."

Because it was fun how he was just another Love affair with Xena, but funny because Xena always Despised him, and knew Ares was waaaaaay better. lol

I gave him a seven. I liked him lots, but there was something about him I just couldn't get past. I domn't know what it was, actually, but seven was my instinctive answer.

7, he was an interesting character to follow throughout the series. Though Destiny, IOM & WFC are the only Rome episodes I'm that crazy about.

I had to give JC a 6. He wasn't bad, but I couldn't get into him like I could a lot of other villains. To me, he lacked the humanity that all great villains have. He's very I rule the world me, me, me. However, I must admit, karl does do a great job playing him. I think I just wanted more, maybe for him to learn from his mistakes, have a little despair. In this, I have to agree with Girlwithachakrum, Brutus is a much more interesting character. There's conflict and humanity...

Caesar was one of the best villians on Xena because though he had the "I will take over the world" motto most villians live by lol he was also very muti-dimisional. He was nasty and mean but he also in a way he also wanted I guess you would say love and acceptance. To get philosophical in WFC I believe he was truly in love with Xena but his love for Rome overshadowed that because if he was just using Xena I don't think...

I just dont really like the whole Rome arch really. Well i do like it, but its definatly not one of my most watched ones. He is a pretty interesting character but he never really got to me in the same way some of the others did. I prefered how Brutus was writen to be honest. I mean the Ruthless wanna be ruller of the world who has a weekness for Xena, sort of been done hasnt it?

I absolutely loved Caesar in XWP, I think Karl Urban did an amazing job portraying him. He was just one of those characters (as stated before) that you loved to hate and hated to love. The air about him just seemed to scream arrogance and self service, but really what would you expect? The man thought he was going to rule the world and would stop at nothing to achieve what he wanted. The intensity of this character was played perfectly from scene one....
