I was one of the few people who loved At Worlds End but even I think that a fourth is definite overkill! Also there are rumours that they'll be introducing a brother for Jack and supposedly Russell Brand is in talks to play him. This annoys me a lot because I can see what they'd be trying to do there - make a character as eccentric as Jack and well thats crap because as we all know there is only one Captain Jack Sparrow!! It's also rumoured that Tim Burton will direct, which...

But they both do great impressions of lamp posts.

So much so that they've been type-cast as the "go to" actors for playing the role of lamp posts since that is the role they seem to play in all their films.

VERY glad that Keira Nightmarely and Orlando Bland won't be in No. 4.

And verily hoping that No. 4 will be much better than Nos. 2 and 3 and at least equal to the first movie.

I'm guessing they're going with the Fountain of Youth aspect or whatever mystical thing Sparrow was searching at the end of No. 3?

I just love the end of the third one...I don't think I have ever seen anything hotter than the scene with Elizabeth and Will on that beach... It was so hot and beautiful that I cried....

Johnny Depp is amazing, I absolutely love him as Capn Jack Sparrow. I hope the fourth is as good as the others, I would like Kiera and Orlando to be in the next one though, thats a shame, but im sure Depp will make the movie amazing And wow, thats a Sh**load of money! Good on him!

And I agree, the first one was the best. I like #2, it's cute and it still has some sparks left from the original creativity. But Three was ... hmm, victim of overly blown expectations perhaps.

Yet, you gotta love Jack ... err... CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow whatever the movie turns out to be. One of the best movie characters ever imo.

I hope it will be just as good as the previous ones. If it can compete with the second, I'm happy (my favorite hehe). I always enjoy watching Johnny Depp onscreen, he s such a facetted actor (I think that's the proper word to use ), and Captain Jack Sparrow is so well portrayed.

Can be great. Or it could be horrible, depending on the story and the writing. I hope it will be sort of good at least. Exciting to see it...

Johnny Depp is to become the highest paid actor of all time after it was reported that he will be earning £32 million for starring in the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film.

The 44 year old is to make the record breaking amount for reprising his role as the eccentric pirate Jack Sparrow. It dwarfs the previous record setter - Tom Hanks' £29 million for forthcoming The Da Vinci Code sequel Angels & Demons.
