Even assuming that "almost certainly true" meets the standard for "beyond a reasonable doubt," only about 81% of us believe that Hope definitely or almost certainly killed the Knight.

And I don't believe Hope was ever truly a child - she was a vessel of Dahak through and through. The faint humanity she might or might not have picked up from Gabrielle just added an extra layer of tragedy to the whole thing.

BUT I don't think Hope intended to kill the knight. I think she was just playing with the necklace and accidentally strangled him with her powers/abilities.

Not sure why I didn't go with absolutely true. I guess in my mind there is still a slight chance one of Dahak's followers snuck into the room and killed the knight in order to force Gabrielle to flee with Hope. Lots of convictions for murder don't have eye witness. Weighing the facts I viewed regardless of intent allowing the accused is a spawn of an evil god who was shown having the opportunity and motive (the baby wanted the trinket) not speculative facts) point to Hope. The crime scene itself was a huge factor to me as well because clearly Goewin put up no struggle still sitting in a chair.
