I find it depends on the YAXI for me aswell.. however it does frustrate me sometimes When a friend spots it and questions me And doesnt find whatever answer i give good enough...although i swear she does it deliberately to annoy me...
Although i do find i also sometimes "pick the version I prefer and happily ignore the contradictions. " but again that depends on the YAXI

The same way I deal with CartoonNetwork's idea for a chase - just push aside the reason and everything is possible

I do agree with xenawp7706...when the characters are out of character it does bug me quite a bit. I never noticed that in the show, but I notice it in some of the official novels and fanfic.

Sometimes there are extremely well written movies that don't seem to have any inconsistancies or plot holes. I've gotta give kudos to the writers who do cover all the bases...it's got to be really tough to do. I imagine it's quite a bit tougher for a show that goes 6...

I try to explain, but it doesn't bother me if I can't.

Some things are simpler to explain, like Argo being called 'boy'. That I take as she just used the wrong word, it happens all the time in every day life, doesn't it? And the ones in flash backs are when she remebers it wrong.

Others a little difficult, but not too hard, like Velasca surviving that fall and then how the ambrosia is used in different situations (I still don't like the fact that...

Second last for me too. But I do try to find the exits in the stories which are left open for futur stories.
Just like FINII. Xena`s death but .............we know from Soulpossesion that they do live further in the present.
Same goes for BTL, where Xena finds her character in another life.

I like to find those things.

Depends on the YAXI, for me too..

Some I try to figure out (and promptly forget how I explained it so that I can do it all over again whenever a want-to falls on me), others I've given up on and don't bother with anymore.

The YAXIs used to drive me insane when I was younger, but now I've learned to be more flexible I just pick the version that makes most sense.

The inconsistencies didn't really both be, but some of them did annoy me at times.

But hey if we were looking simple and realistic we would not be watching XWP, would we! lol 'You are there' is the biggest contradiction of all time, but i love it. It's like why is there a reported in Xena, have the writes gone mad. Yet I it is one of my fav eps.

I'm talking about YAXIs. Which is an acronym for Yet Another Xena Inconsistency.

You know, like when Xena calls...
